"I cannot recommend True Traveller more"

I cannot recommend True Traveller more. When you take out holiday/travel insurance, it’s often just done with the thought you’ll never actually need it, never mind knowing that if you’ll actually require help and looking after in an emergency the company will be there for you. My Wife became quite unwell with altitude sickness on our recent trip to Everest Base Camp. From the first phone call the Team could not have been more helpful, ensuring my Wife was quickly medevac’d by Helicopter to Lukla Hospital. Everything was taken care of and we were in contact with the same kind Gentleman that organised everything and made sure we were ok throughout. Even claiming our medical expenses back was painless and sorted within a few days. I’ll definitely be using True Traveller again.

"True Traveller have been excellent"

I am really pleased with my experience of true traveller. I took out insurance for a one month volunteering trip to Costa Rica, not expecting to need to use it! However, I ended up needing stitches for a small injury to my hand. My claim was settled within an hour and the money in my bank account the same day. When choosing my insurance I had some questions and was able to speak to a team member on the phone instantly, and spoke to a very friendly person. The website is well laid out and easy to use. I will be using true traveller again in the future, as I cannot fault their excellent service. I'd say the price is ever so slightly (but not much) more expensive than alternative companies, but 100% worth it for the quality. Thank you all!

"Please don't use this company, this is not travel insurance. "

Following Air Vanuatu going into administration, we were left stranded in New Zealand with our two children. After phoning True Traveller, we were informed that as per a sub-clause buried deep on page 27 of the policy wording, we were not covered at all for:

The cost of the lost flights to Vanuatu.
The cost of the accommodation in Vanuatu we cannot use.
The cost of new onward flights.
Any costs incurred while being stranded in New Zealand.

This is exactly the situation that we paid a premium of over £3100 to protect us from. Despite taking the more expensive Traveller Plus Policy, we have been left stranded with zero help or support from this company.

What is the point of travel insurance if not for situations like this?

In the strongest possible terms, we would advise any "true traveller" to buy their travel insurance elsewhere.

"Amazing service"

True Traveller have been absolutely wonderful in helping processing my claim. I had to cancel two trips during a very a difficult and challenging time and I wrongly assumed submitting insurance claims might become burdensome for me. However, the team (namely Dasa and Patrik) made the whole process so smooth and easy for me, even accommodating my delayed responses. I'm really grateful for the help and assistance provided to me by True Traveller, and look forward to taking out insurance again on my upcoming trips. A big thank you!

"Speedy and efficient handling of claim"

Dylan assisted me whilst I was stuck overseas due to a weather related flight cancellation. He reassured me that the insurance would run on beyond my scheduled return date until my return. Dylan also handled my claim and settled it in full within two days of the claim being made. Great service and support.

"Would recommend!"

Patrik was a great help, it’s been my first claim and I was unsure on the process. I was quite worried about it all, but Patrik dealt with the claim impeccably.

I submitted my form via email with evidence on Sunday and by Tuesday the money had been paid into my account.

Would highly recommend TT.

"True Traveller: Good, AXA: useless"

The actual claiming process with True Traveller was five star, I received my reimbursement two days after I submitted my claim. However, the initial contact with AXA assistance was a farce, I had a broken ankle and needed to go to hospital immediately, they told me to wait a few hours while they contacted a reciprocal clinic in Canada that they would pay directly (using the Emerency room and X rays and CT scan in Canada as a non resident costs around $3000+ which I couldn't afford to be out of pocket). I waited and waited, called back many times, and always met with 'they are still working on it'. I waited 24 hours, with a broken ankle, before I gave up and went to the hospital and paid up front.

"Very happy"

I had an accident whilst traveling and got good help and care from True Traveller. What I appreciated most was their fast reply to my questions and claims, especially from Dagmar. But I would recommend getting receipts and have proof of payment (I.e bank statements) as they need documentation. All in all would recommend.
