My whole experience with Crest has been a complete nightmare and has put me off ever buying a new build again. The quality of the workmanship is shocking and the customer service not much better. You expect a few snags and when I bought my first property with Redrow several years ago we had no issues at all. When we moved onto this development in Solihull it was a different story. Every kitchen unit needed replacing as they were all marked, the bathroom sinks were installed at an angle, no drainage was put in the lawn so it flooded every time it rained, the fencing needed replacing twice, we were given a smart reader for another property but they wouldn’t replace it. The wiring isn’t capped and the walls so thin we were actually advised that we didn’t hang anything on them! We have managed to put some pictures up but a TV on the wall would be out of the question. We aren’t the only ones either, so many people on the estate complained that the Sun newspaper turned up to do an article one day! We’ve been in two years now and still waiting for a pavement outside our house instead of the rough tarmac we’ve been left with. As soon as the estate is finished we will be looking to sell up and get out!
