"I recently had the pleasure of visiting…"

I recently had the pleasure of visiting a property at Lewin Park, and I must say it was an experience I won’t forget—thanks to Leanne Evans from Crest Nicholson. Despite being 30 minutes late without an appointment and having very little hope of being accommodated, Leanne welcomed us warmly and made us feel at ease immediately.

Even though she was already past her working hours, Leanne never rushed us. Instead, she took the time to answer all of our questions patiently and thoughtfully. Her extensive knowledge of the property and the area was clear, and she was completely understanding of our situation, offering us the information we needed to make an informed decision without any pressure to buy.

At no point did we feel that she was pushing us into anything. Instead, she gave us all the necessary details to help us reflect on our options. Later, she even checked in on us and understood that we were still exploring other properties, showing great empathy and professionalism.

Lewin Park is a beautiful property, and Leanne Evans is truly an asset to Crest Nicholson. Her approach, dedication, and customer service made all the difference in our experience. Highly recommend!

"AVOID! "

Property had a lot of snags when we moved in but as soon as we gave the 10* NHBC review which Crest wanted, any motivation to deal with the outstanding snags thereafter was lost. Major property snags are still outstanding. One being a broken heating thermostat, and as we are now in the winter we have cold small kids in the house! Do not go with this developer they do not care about customers, they only care about NHBC review.

"Verla - St Albans"

This review focuses solely on the Verla development.

We visited the new-build apartments in St. Albans this weekend and had a rather disappointing experience. We arrived 10 minutes early, only to find the door to the sales suite locked. Since it was pouring with rain, we decided to wait in the car. However, when we returned just a minute before our appointment, the door was still locked, and there was no one there. We tried calling multiple times, but our calls went unanswered. We were left standing in the rain for over 10 minutes before they finally opened the door.

This situation was confusing because there were two salespeople working, so it seemed they had disregarded their appointment.

As soon as we sat down, the new saleswoman began asking intrusive questions about other flats we had visited. During the apartment viewing, she struggled to show us the correct apartments and missed out on many of the development’s features, such as communal areas. Out of the five different apartments available, we only managed to view one type. It was evident that she had shown us the same flat twice, but we were being told they were different. We understood that she was new, but the blatant lies took it too far. My partner had to insist that they were indeed the same layout and square footage. It wasn’t until the other salesman arrived that we were able to see the ones we had missed.

We mentioned that we hadn’t seen many of the apartments, so the other salesperson provided us with as much detail as possible and showed us another apartment as well as the communal areas.

The two salespeople were very different in their approach. One was unsure and struggled to cover the basics, while the other was overly explanatory, coming across as condescending and potentially deterring prospective buyers. It was clear that they didn’t work well together, and there was an awkward atmosphere when both were present.

Overall, our experience was quite lacklustre, making it highly unlikely that we would consider purchasing from Verla.

Sales staff were really helpful and informative. Just wasn't the layout for the 5 bed we needed. Kitchen layout wasn't functional for what we needed day to day.
