"AVOID!"

Bought sofa and chair in October 2019, now, in March 2020 I’m still sitting on the floor... Shockingly bad customer service, things are going wrong one after another, no possibility to speak to manager whatsoever, all I hear is promises but nobody cares. I’m devastated, it’s the worst company ever...

"Amazing service and product."

We have had our sofa and arm chair delivered a couple of months ago but I thought I’d write a review now. The service was exceptional. We didn’t like abit it material on our chair and asked if this could be changed. A lovely lady called Sharron has arranged for someone to pick the chair up and amended the material we didn’t like and then brought the chair back free of charge. I would really recommend this company.

"Great quality and good service"

I think the two chesterfield sofa's I purchased provided excellent value for money. I was really pleased with the build quality in terms of construction and quality leather used. The ordering process was efficient and the delivery company provided good service. If I had one criticism it would be the lack of contact between ordering and being provided with a delivery date, I think customers should be given more than just an estimated delivery date of 6-8 weeks. Overall I am really happy with my purchases, and have recently ordered more.

Well made, beautiful leather wingback taking pride of place in the lounge. Easy ordering process. Delivery, assembly and removal of packaging carried out with the minimal of disruption.

"Lovely sofas and brilliant service"

The sofas arrived quickly by a professional delivery service. We ordered two the same and there was a slight delay when one was dispatched to the courier without the other, but they met each other within a day or so and arrived in perfect condition. They are absolutely beautiful with very soft leather and after 3 months still look like new. Hopefully the leather will wear and age perfectly.

"Great choice but customer service and quality is disappointing."

Excellent choice if contemporary and classic sofas and chairs. Ordering was very easy as was ordering samples from their site they also generously sent me a set of wooden bun feet for another sofa we had. However.. communication is dire, little to no updates other than confusingly inaccurate email giving a vague completion time. Communication between the sales room and the factory is a rather Haphazard affair with me having to continually ring to find out when the sofas were close to completion and promised return calls not being done. I have also found that quality is a little underwhelming with random pieces if leather not even close to the colour of the rest of the sofa, one large piece looks like it came from an elephants elbow it is that creased and looks totally out of place. I feel there is a rushed element to production although they had our order for nearly ten weeks! Shame as we had ordered a chesterfield from them ten years ago and we were very pleased with the service and products so I’m not sure what’s gone a miss now.

"Superb"

Superb! That’s the only word to describe the Chesterfield sofa company from service to style . I’ve just received my Ludlow sofa the build and finish are second to none .
Just 4 weeks from ordering to delivery 🚚,that’s what I call Superb!

"Wonder why they don’t have Trustpilot rating on site?"

I purchased 2 sofas and a footstool from the Chesterfield Company (CC) for just under £3500. They were delivered by a man in a van outfit which I would argue is not an exact representation from their website claim. The sofas had damage on receipt and the CC arranged for a technician to visit and resolve. The technician said they could not fix the issues due to the nature of the leather but also identified significant, other manufacture related issues. They wrote a report and the CC offered to send someone to the house to repair the sofas (not sure how this would’ve been possible as the first technician said that it was not) or, take the sofas back to factory for repairs. I was sufficiently disappointed with the sofas at this point that I requested a return for full refund which they agreed to via email. Return carrier was arranged and my wife arranged time off work to allow access. Again, 2 men in a van arrived only to refuse to take the furniture due to not having room, this was due to other deliveries not being accepted. We had already purchased replacement furniture (elsewhere) that was due to be delivered 2 days after original CC collection. When emails were sent to CC they were not concerned about the inconvenience caused and simply said the carriers would be back in touch. At this point I requested the refund to be processed as I did not think it fair that I was £3500 out of pocket for no fault of my own, CC refused saying refund would only be issued when the furniture was collected (again, I have email that proves this). I had to defer delivery of new furniture until after carriers could rearrange which was another 7 days from original collection date. The furniture was collected (2 men in a van) and I asked when the furniture would be delivered to CC. I was told that it would be the following day, therefore I contacted CC the day after to ask for my refund to be processed as I no longer had the furniture. CC then decided that the furniture has to be returned to their factory before refund which could take 10 working days. Now, the issue I have with CC is that their customer service is shocking, the furniture we paid £3500 had many defaults and they refuse to issue refunds to customers due to apparent CC distribution problems. I have tried to maintain a regular correspondence with CC but quite often you are ignored, this is the first step that I am taking and have already established the next action with consumer advice. Hopefully this will be resolved before escalation but I thought this information would be useful to both prospective and current customers that may have similar problems.
