"3 of 3 in our party unable to use"

Spoke to tech help, unable to connect. Offered us 'tips' and work arounds not shown in directions. Finally, able to connect, 3 of 3 found service useless. Slow, and dropping out. Will complain to host KOA in the morning.

Tech rep was condescending IT type with zero customer service skills. We have used iPads and laptops, phones, etc all over the US and 2 other countries since Jan first 2017. We do know how good service works. This certainly is not it.

Guests at KOA ABQ, NM.

UPDATE - FEB 23, 2017
It is clear as I read the comments below. Tengonet makes a point to discredit complaints, ISP's, and their own customer (campgrounds etc.). Tengonet needs to realize that in 2017 customers are capable and recognize poor service.

We just returned from a 30 day motorhome trip in several states. Only one campground with wifi failed to serve well. That was the KOA using Tengonet. All other connections were satisfactory for our four users with both smartphones and tablets.

It is very poor form for Tengonet to challenge customers, users, and anyone other than their own inadequate service.

"Often can not log on, and if can, g …"

Often can not log on, and if can, get dropped. Paid for fast internet, but can't even log in. Horrible. Phone and ipad work much better using our data plan. Worthless. How can they call it high speed when the phone data is so much better?

"Installation was great, service has been great, customers love it."

The installation was done in under a day and the tech was great. The service from Tengo Internet has also been great and our customers love it. I would recommend them with out reservation.

"Mike Odom is excellent"

My husband and I recently bought a campground, so I reached out to Mike and Tengo Internet to discuss getting WiFi in the campground. Mike was incredibly patient, listened to all of our needs and then gave us a very honest recommendation. He is not your average salesman and it was a breath of fresh air. He could have given me a run around, but decided to be honest and it just shows the trustworthiness of this company.

I would recommend them absolutely.

"From shoddy to below-average"

Apparently many RV parks are now using TengoInternet to provide WiFi service to their customers. My first experience (at the San Francisco KOA park) was a joke. I never got past the logon screen. The people at the park, tired of the complaints about TengoInternet, said there wasn't anything they could do except give me TentoInternet's phone number. That proved to be useless.

We also stopped at an RV park in the Seattle area served by TengoInternet. This time I was able to log on, but sadly, was charged for the use of their network. What!!!? Speed ranged from slow to, well, stopped. I got up at 4am to see if it was any more usable, and the speed seemed ok. However, during normal waking hours, it was very frustrating to use.

Unfortunately, when TengoInternet is only game in the park, you're stuck. There should be better service providers available to RV park owners.

""Free" ain't always useful."

I am likely to decline use of your service in future. The times I have "used" it have been frustrating getting logged in, use of only one device at a time, slow performance, inadequate campground antenna setup (not necessarily your issue, but it does affect the user experience).

I have 8 devices that I use interchangeably, and want to have on the Internet for updates, email and Facebook. I don't even want to think of trying to do high-data apps over any free Internet.

"Acceptable, but it could improve."

I had a pleasant time, but the Internet was weak in my area. It was also very hard to connect.

"Very poor connections"

Not worth the $$$ should have listened to the RV park when they said it was marginal at best

"Good"

Depends where you're at. When we are at 49er it's great. When we stay at Marina Dunes in Monterey, it's horrible. Not sure if it's you or them!

"Tengointernet in RV Parks"

We have used the service, provided by several RV parks in the Western US.
Guessing the system is greatly limited by the number of users. Seems like the user base should be closer to the max. It appears the user base is closer to the minimum for the amount of users.
Perhaps 1 of 5 locations were as good as being at home.
