I sadly cannot recommend Blue Nile based on my recent experience. My fiancé purchased a 3-carat diamond ring from them, which initially seemed stunning. However, the disappointment began almost immediately:
- The band split down the middle, suggesting poor craftsmanship or material quality.
- The ring's circle was not round but oblong, which affected the fit and overall aesthetics.
- I lost a small diamond from the side, likely due to the band's poor construction.
When I returned the ring for repair, Blue Nile's response was far from satisfactory. They've held onto my ring, demanding payment for repairs which I believe should be covered under warranty due to it being a clear case of workmanship issues. They've suggested that the straight line split in the band could somehow be my fault, which is both absurd and upsetting.
This entire ordeal has not only been frustrating but has also tainted what should have been a cherished sentimental item. Blue Nile's lack of customer service and unwillingness to acknowledge their product's flaws is deeply disappointing. I would caution others to think twice before choosing Blue Nile for something as significant as engagement jewelry.

We went in person to purchase a bracelet. The salesperson knew we needed it shortened and sold us the care plan which would allow for free service and maintenance on it. The bracelet wasnt in stock at the store so we ordered it. We went back to get it shortened and was told there was a three day wait period. So we left and went back after a few days again to send it in to get shortened. Fast forward to today, almost four weeks later, we are told there is a 60 day wait period for the care plan to come into effect or else we would have to pay $100 out of pocket. It’s super convenient that I’m not told this until it is too late to ask for a refund….im very upset at this turn of event and will never trust this company again.

I asked the rep for 18" box chain. They added the wrong address so I had to hunt around the neighborhood for the necklace. Once I realized I received a 16" necklace I went back to the galleria to return it. The google hours said they would be open til 8 pm. By 7 pm they were already closed. So I had to go back the next day. Overall not satisfied with Blue Nile. I will be buying the necklace I want from Ring Concierge.

The necklace my husband bought me fell off the first day due to a gap in the jump loop. It was a December birthday gift and I won’t get it back until after Valentine’s Day. It should have been replaced rather than repaired.
