Blue Nile offers a good variety of styles (both classic and those with a twist) for a relatively reasonable price. Our jeweler, Alanna, was fantastic - she was friendly, knowledgeable and patient with us as we explored all options. She was also very diligent in sending us updates about the status of our order, even though it was during busy season (during Christmas and New Year's). Based on our experience, I'd highly recommend Blue Nile and also Alanna!

One of the earrings came with a broken post. Blue Nike pushed back on a replacement vs repair. It was never work and shipped broken, why would I want a repair and risk the item falling out when it is finally able to be used.

They sent the wrong item and messed up the delivery vs. invoicing address. They got it right on the third attempt. If you spend a lot of money on buying something online, you expect the merchant to be extra careful. The bracelet is gorgeous, and the price was right, but the service is messy.

The delivery was a nightmare! Blue Nile does not permit pickup at a UPS facility, which would have made things a lot easier. This was a Christmas gift and required my physical signature. I couldn’t have it delivered to my office because the delivery window was all day until 9pm, yes, 9pm! The first and second delivery attempts were made at my house while I was at dinner after working from home two days in a row. On the 3rd unsuccessful delivery, they send the package back to Blue Nile, who can then authorize a pickup from a UPS facility. Not a good option when it’s a Christmas gift. I went through this in 2020, but had totally forgotten the experience until after the first delivery attempt I called their customer service. Talking to the customer service woman brought back the memories. They also won’t connect you to a supervisor, but one will call you within 48 hours. I’m not sure who at Blue Nile thinks that’s helpful, particularly at Christmas. I finally got the package by catching a UPS driver, who was kind enough to find out which driver had the package, and where that driver was. I went to him and got the package. A huge zero in the customer care department!! A perfect example of customer unfriendly policies. I will never buy from Blue Nile again. It’s not worth the stress.
