"The company promised that they’d have…"
The company promised that they’d have my delivery by Christmas. They use their own tracking service which has nothing to do with the FedEx tracking service for the actual delivery. So unlike every other online company out there, you cannot count on their tracking service. With this said, I did not do the labor work to dig deep enough into how to get into the FedEx site to track my package and now have not received it until two days after Christmas. Horrible communication I couldn’t imagine the pain somebody would go through if they had bought a $50,000 diamond through this company. Worst experience ever would never use them again

"Misleading information all over this…"
Misleading information all over this website and in the description
-Free shipment overnight: Did not ship for 3 days
-Ordere placed Dec. 16th, original expected shipment date was 17th, then modified to 18th, then delayed again until the 19th.
-Contacted Customer support, and got zero help, nor follow-up. The lady was not helpful, and was not able to rush my order although it was delayed 3 times. She actually said the amount spent wasn't enough for overnight delivery, although I ordered 3 pairs of the same earrings but just divided them into 2 deliveries.
-Product itself was okay - but not worth the hassle. Many other jewellers offer similar pieces at similar prices. Not worth the bad experience

"Protect your sanity and go to a real jewelry shop"
The company is dishonest and not transparent about their products and availability.
Plan an extra month lead time if ordering from them, and do not expect responsive customer support.
Their product quality seems fine, but their operational incompetency, poor customer service, and dishonesty when setting delivery expectations make shopping there unnecessarily stressful. Better to just go to a real jewelry store for diamond jewelry.

"Ordered a gold bracelet for my wife…"
Ordered a gold bracelet for my wife weeks ago so it was here in time for Christmas, just received a cancellation notice by email, not even a sorry or a call to explain the problem. I am now left scrambling to get a replacement.
Never again will I buy from these dick weasels.

"A Disheartening Experience – Beware of Strict Policies!"
I recently had a deeply disappointing experience with Blue Nile that I feel compelled to share. In August, I purchased a beautiful aquamarine ring for a hefty sum of $4,110, thinking it was a worthwhile investment. Imagine my shock when I discovered that the same ring is now on sale for $2,877!
Naturally, I contacted the customer service to inquire about a potential refund or store credit for the price difference. To my dismay, I was met with a rigid response stating that they strictly adhere to a 30-day policy for refunds or returns. Because my purchase fell outside this 30-day timeframe, I was told I am ineligible for any compensation, and that I cannot return the ring, even though I had not worn it yet, planning to wear it for the Christmas party.
My frustration with this situation is beyond words. It's disheartening to see a company prioritize arbitrary policies over customer satisfaction and loyalty. The ring itself is undoubtedly beautiful, but the bitter taste left by this experience overshadows its allure.
Customer service, the supposed face of a company, failed to exhibit any understanding or empathy. The robotic scripted response I received conveyed a lack of concern for customer relations, leaving me feeling like just another number in their profit margin.
It's deeply disappointing that Blue Nile places such little value on customer relationships. I had hoped for a more flexible and customer-centric approach, especially for loyal patrons like myself. Unfortunately, my experience has left me with the impression that this company is more interested in rigid policies than in fostering lasting customer connections.
I urge potential shoppers to think twice before making a purchase from Blue Nile. The lack of flexibility and understanding when it comes to their refund policies makes it a risky endeavor to buy anything at full price.
This encounter with Blue Nile has left me frustrated, dissatisfied, and deeply disappointed. I regret the day I bought this ring from them and will certainly think twice before considering them for any future acquisitions.

"Beware of massive extra charges after purchae"
The products sold are nice and of good quality however the customer service and delivery of the rings is awful. Beware of taxes! You will receive a import tax bill from FedEx that is not mentioned when you buy. This is huge, on plain non presious metal ring of approximately £200 you will be invoiced £60 after if arrives. Customer services don't want to know. We also returned two rings to be resized which took 2 months and an engagement ring to be repaired which took 3 months to come back. If you want a hassel free experience avoid Blue Nile at all costs

"Avoid diamond rings…"
We bought an eternity ring for our wedding vow renewal. Within 3 months the diamonds were lose. This was repaired and tightened. Happened again a few months later. After asking them to check for defects on the design which they did, they confirmed this sort of style/design of ring is prone to loose diamonds and should only be worn on special occasions!!!! AND to expect to have it looked at by a jeweller and repaired every 3 months!!!! Apparently that is normal (no mention of this when you buy the ring)
Not acceptable and doesn't meet consumer standards or rights.
We are now stuck with a ring I am too anxious to wear should I lose the diamonds. No gesture offered to compensate we now don't have a wedding renewal ring to wear daily and yet spent a small fortune with them. AVOID!

"Horrible Customer Service"
The Customer Service that I was given was horrendous. They made mistakes all along the journey, I will mention a few incidents;
At one point I asked them to reserve a diamond and at the same instance asked for a virtual meeting with a “Diamond Expert”. The “Diamond Expert” than informed me that she cannot see the details of the Diamond since it is reserved! I told her that this cannot be the case because it does not make sense. I initiated a chat with their Customer Care and told them what the “Diamond Expert” had told me. Obviously, it was evident that the “Diamond Expert” was mistaken!
In another instance, I was told that they sent me an email and when I told them that I received nothing and after some toing and froing, they realised that the email was sent to another customer, email.
And the best saga was when I had to wait for over 2 months to receive a refund, since, because of the exchange rate, I had sent more money than what I owed them!

"Poor Quality and tiresome aftercare"
Expensive diamond ring bought in 2019, by 2021 it had cracked. Sent back for a return (proper faff and customer has to pay for insurance), ring was repaired and returned. Now in 2023 the ring has cracked again in the same place. BN tell me to send ring back again for further "inspection."(customer to again pay for insurance). I wouldn't trust the quality of their jewelry and if there is an issue it is extremely painful to sort out with them. In future I will use a local jeweler or head to Hatton Garden.
Dec 2023 Latest update: BN "experts" have decided this time the ring crack is now the customers fault, and their rings should not be worn for everyday use activities such as driving. Total con outfit..... AVOID
