"Avoid, costs to return faulty product"

Received a faulty ring which looked used and had numerous scratches on the band. Was advised I needed to pay £46 to return the item using Fedex or UPS only. This is not stated on the return policy on the website but only advised in an email after you request a return. This is contrary to their own return policy on the website which states;

Alternatively, should you wish to use your own method of return, please be sure to confirm that your local carrier will insure your jewellery to the value that was paid.

In short AVOID AVOID AVOID they are in clear breach of Consumer Rights Act 2015.

"too many troubles"

Those are the issues I've had:

1. quality issues on the wedding band, they've been having the ring for almost 2 month, still waiting to get it back

2. transporter dropped the engagement ring in front of the elevator of the building without bothering asking for a signature

3. delivery issues. I have been in contact with a support agent named Zaruf which was totally useless telling me nobody could do anything about it when calling UPS did reveal this wasn't true

"Do not buy with them if you are planning engagement ring. Will not arrive on time!"

Blue Nile has sent me the ring and it has not arrived yet since 26th of July. I keep on chasing them to find out what is happening and constantly receive an answer “we contacted the shipping company and there is no update”. Blue Nile does not seem to be pressing the shipper for any answers whatsoever. It is 7th of August now and no sing of the parcel.

"Above & beyond!!!!…"

Dealing with Blue Nile is always great they help you via online chat if you need any help with your purchase & they have always delivered very quickly, can’t believe they can get it to Australia so quickly, very impressed. The rose gold & silver earrings are beautiful I love them, had lots of compliments when I wear them :)

"Blue Nile for life!"

We always have a good experience at Blue Nile since 2006 when we picked out a diamond+engagement ring setting. A local jeweler pronounced my Blue Nile emerald cut diamond as "exquisite" we've since earrings, bracelets, necklaces, other gemstones. I reset my diamond a few times, bought eternity bands. Blue Nile for life!

"Aquamarine…clear not blue"

I bought the stud earring in aquamarine with a halo of diamonds and sapphires. Unfortunately the aquamarines were nearly colorless. Overall they were pretty but aquamarines s/b blue not clear. I returned them to the store.

It took about a month to get my refund even though I returned them to the store. I should have gotten my refund immediately. Poor customer service.

"Blue Nile Ruined our lifelong dream of…"

Blue Nile Ruined our lifelong dream of our wedding! 8 months!!! And we still don’t have the rings.

My experience working with Blue Nile has been one of the worst customer experiences ever in my lifetime. 60 emails we have sent, 36 phone calls with at least 5 different people! Here are the facts around the purchase of a wedding ring and two matching bands.

This purchase was completed in December of last year, 2020. I Purchased a wedding ring along with an accompanying ring and received the rings accordingly in 6 weeks. The rings needed to be resized so we sent them back to Blue Nile. In addition, the band ring did not sit properly along the wedding ring. Blue Nile did receive the rings and we were told that someone would be in touch with us. During that time, my wife and I purchased ANOTHER matching band to sit on the other side of the wedding ring, and we anxious;y awaited ALL 3 rings to be delivered. We made nearly 10 calls after not receiving any information from Blue Nile, finally someone called back, but that person did not have information as to the status of the rings. We called back again and unfortunately the other person was unable to give us information as to where the rings were and told us that the situation would be escalated.

When the person called us back it was escalated to she stated that the rings (2) had been lost. After a few days we received an email stating that the rings were found and at the same time we were told that the rings (depicted in the photo on the website, were not made to “lay together” and that it would now cost me more to have them customized. I sent them the payment for the customization of the 2 bands.

Approximately six weeks later we were told by the escalation specialist that the rings were going to be shipped overnight and delivered by next morning. We were very excited and finally after five months we were finally going to get the rings and be able to reschedule and re-plan our wedding. much to my dismay when I open the FedEx delivery box there was only one custom Band delivered! The other two rings were not even in the box! When I spoke to the escalation specialist she apologized profusely and asked me to send the ring back which I did. When Blue Nile receive the rings the escalation specialist called me back and said indeed that the ring they sent was not even custom, as I had payed for. Never mind we didn’t receive the wedding ring or the 2nd band.

The last straw: The escalation specialist who we have been working with for months called and apologized for “letting us down.” I expressed my displeasure and I requested further escalation of this situation and she obliged. On June 3 a week and a half after it was escalated, the NEW Escalation Specialist called not myself, but called my wife! Why would she call her? She is not the customer!?

This person only left their extension so I looked up the direct number and called this person and left a message stating that I was the customer and that they should contact me as soon as possible to rectify the situation. This person, called and left a voicemail on June 8th and requested I call back. That was back on June 8th and I have left multiple voicemails for this person since then, and not one time have they had the common courtesy of returning my call.

Too many serious blunders for such a large company and the tears of hurt and frustration from my wife have caused so much unneeded duress. Just a terrible experience! Since they have not sent us our rings and because of this experience, I demand full return of the purchase price and they can keep the rings! Shame on you Blue Nile

"NEVER AGAIN!!!"

From a company like Blue Nile I would never expect such a bad behaviour like we experienced when buying a pink diamond.
We have bought a pink diamond from their shop and without even notifying they cancelled our booking. After some days I checked the tracking and it said that the purchase was cancelled. After some attempts I was forwarded to a lady that was, indeed friendly and helpful, but did give us the wrong information. She said that the diamond was already sold and that it was a tecnical issue we could buy it at all. They did not offer any discount or anything and as a substitute they did not offer diamonds that were comparible to the diamond we bought. After some days we saw the EXACTLY SAME DIAMOND online again at the much higher price. After calling the support again they told us that the price was wrong and that their supplier decided to not ship it. LUYING TO CUSTOMERS AND TRICKING THEM IS ALWAYS A BAD BEHAVIOUR! From a big company like Blue Nile and their suppliers I would expect much more professionality. Will never buy again because you never know if you will really get your diamond or not!!!
