"HeyCar is a great concept, but they let themselves down massively."

First foray into purchasing a used car and stumbled across HeyCar. I thought the concept of being able to purchase online and free delivery would be a reassuring and stress-free process... I wish this had been the case.

What went right:
- The car lived up to the description, minus a few scratches and dents not mentioned. There is an issue with the parking sensors, which I am sorting out through the warranty.
- The car was delivered to me from Nottingham to London.

What went wrong:
- I initially purchased another car through HeyCar on a Saturday, by Monday HeyCar called me up to say the dealer actually didn't want to use HeyCar and that my £99 was being refunded. I've spoken to five different people and despite numerous people telling me the refund is being processed over the last month!!!, I'm yet to see the £99 refund in my account.
- HeyCar use a company called DriveMe to deliver the car. HeyCar booked my delivery using the wrong name (still misspelling my surname wrong in comms) and the incorrect address!! This was changed once I flagged the inconsistencies. The DriveMe driver had to match the driving licence name and address to the booked details, which could have caused an issue.
- Original delivery had to be cancelled as the driver tried to deliver 4hrs after the agreed time, due to a train strike which wasn't a surprise to anyone as it had been covered in national media. The driver was rude when I said I had theatre tickets, would be unavailable, and certainly wouldn't be checking over a car in the dark!
- I asked to be sent warranty details from the HeyCar sales admin team, but haven't received anything back despite numerous chases, finally heard back and was told they were chasing the dealer. I called the dealer directly and they told me they had sent the warranty to HeyCar a week before and would just send it to me direct.
- Of course, the dealership was given the wrong spelling of my name and the wrong address, so had to ask them to amend this.

The whole experience has been stressful and frustrating and I'm still waiting on that refund.

HeyCar is a great concept in theory, but the poor levels of post-purchase customer service, lack of checking things such as correct names and addresses on orders and financial mess-ups have left a sour taste in my mouth.
