"Colour much darker than car paint"
Colour much darker than car paint. Should have read the reviews before purchasing …..

"25 year old Aston Martin"
Project to restore front air dam and a wing mirror of a 1997 DB7 Driving Dynamics:
I purchased colour matched aerosols, grey primer, clear lacquer, panel wipe, sanding sheets and MPEX filler.
Please note I’m not a professional paint sprayer but I was prepared to spend the time preparing the surface. The air dam had suffered speed bump damage, stone chipping. And general fading from years of “love”.
Undaunted, I got to work following info from Paintnuts website and various websites to get a good idea of what to use and how. All work was carried out outside in windless conditions and between 18-20oC over a 2 day period. I got the surface (which is full of compound curves) repaired and flattened. This was all by hand as rubber and cork blocks were about as useful as a chocolate teapot! So first primer coat sprayed and checked and a minor imperfection rectified. A further coat and happy with the result. Decided not to flatten this surface. Four coats of colour coded “Mendip Blue” following the timings on the can. Left this for 24hrs. Small amount of expected orange peel (left this alone). 4 coats of Clear coat added (again at timed intervals - I was actually using a stop watch rather than guessing!) Due to obligations I didn’t finish off for a couple of days. Using 1000 and 1500grit wet and dry to provide a flatted surface for cutting and polishing. Colour match and the mirror finish is perfect! I’m really happy with result and for less than £100 I’m very happy!

"Poor Customer Service from Paintnuts"
As a new customer to paintnuts, I must say that my experience with them was rather disappointing.
I placed my order and paid for Premium Fast Track delivery (2 to 3 days at £6.99) and received an email confirmation. After a two days, I called paintnuts as I hadn't received the 'despatched' email only to be told they couldn't find the order. Once the sales person had found my order, he committed to getting me the paint on a 'next day' delivery. Unfortunately, this wasn't the case because he hadn't in fact requested the carrier to do 'next day'; the paint came 4 days later. So, in fact I received the paint 7 days from placing the order on a premium delivery service. This isn't good customer service, it wasn't what I had paid for, they have not even bothered to acknowledge nor reply to my complaint email. Needless to say that I would not recommend paintnuts nor shall I be using them again!!

"Good paint match"
I am rather sorry there appear to be some poor reviews as not my experience. I was not sure about the timeline for delivery so e mailed and rapidly received a reply from Sam. The delivery was in the guidelines set when I ordered.
The paint match is good but do shake it up if your paint has a special finish.
I do hope they sort out any issues they have as it seems to me to be a good company with particularly easy ordering using the registration number.

Poor communication, poor delivery time, inflexible, wouldn't refund even though all of the above was a problem, find another company.

"FRAUDSTERS.."
I bought a tin of paint restorer from this company that was advertised as 25ml. The tin provided was just over half full. Calculating the volume of the tin, it is at most 29ml (and that is being generous).
When contacted and provided with the dimensions and volume of the tin, Paintnuts refused to admit they had under supplied me. In fact, they said that the 'precision made' product was exactly the quantity they were supplying to all their customers as 25ml. If so, this is a very substantial under supply amounting to possibly as much as a £2 discrepancy on each tin costing £4.99.
I shall be looking in to providing Trading Standards with information on the quantity I received, and the admission from Paintnuts that this amount (a photograph of the half empy tin was provided to Paintnuts) is what they are supplying to all their customers as 25mm
