"I was so excited to get my bike this…"

I was so excited to get my bike this week and I love it!!

I used to get the bus to and from my new job and had to look into an alternate ways of getting there due to timings.

The guys at Hurrecane have been really helpful. The bike was delivered to my house and the driver provided me with all of the info I needed to get started.

I didn’t know that the bike would need insurance, but I was told once I subscribed. Makes sense to have it though, as I pay just under £6 a month for the safety in knowing I’m covered if it gets stolen or something.

"Honest review of my experience"

So, here is my honest review of my experience. I looked online to rent an EBIKE as I didn’t wanna commit to spent £1500 (around) for an EBIKE. I found this website and was quite excited to order. Here I am going to breakdown my review.

Bike- The bike I received is a mountain bike and it’s quite good looking, light, comfortable, easy to ride, faster compared to other EBIKE I rode (my friends, my delivery job bike, also bought a £1400 worth of bike but retuned it within a week because I didn’t like it). On the website it says, it goes upto 45 miles per charge but it only went around 40 miles for me but still happy with it. So far so good and I am actually happy with the bike.

Delivery- Deliver was good. Deliver person was well informed, knew what he was talking about as he was telling me everything about the bike. They gave me a date and approximate time and I received it.

Customer service- Here is the fun fact when I comes to customer service. Once I ordered, I straight away got the insurance and sent them the policy through email. They replied me quite fast and provided me the information I needed to know. Direct debit setup was easy as well. However, only issue I found in customer service is communication issue as I was told I would receive phone call from them about my bike delivery date once my direct debit is setup. The twist is, I didn’t receive any phone call from them. I had to call multiple days and I was told the same thing I would receive phone call for delivery date and times but they didn’t keep their promise. The day, I received my bike, only that day they called me and gave me a time that they gonna deliver it and they did. But still as a new/growing company, they need to improve their customer service. Funny thing is, they replied to my email/ sent me email faster than phone call.

Insurance- It can be quite annoying thing to do just for a bike but I understand it also gives me security, as if something happens, they will cover so I don’t mind but it also upto you how you wanna take it.

Overall, I am enjoying the bike and that’s most important to me. I also put myself for second battery, and I hope they will let me know soon, when they are available not like I will receive a phone call tomorrow like they did before. Because I found the customer service was moderate, I am giving 4 starts or it would be a 5 starts review. Thank you for reading all this.

"Seems off. No Communication"

I treid to order a bike from here, initially I set up my Direct Debit and was sent to a confirmation page with just a generic thank you and no information after. THEN I was told only after doing this that I needed to get my own insurance. There is NO information on the website that states you NEED to insure the bike yourself before they'll deliver.

I sent them an email as I need a price to give the insurer and no answer, I emailed again a day later and no answer and no answer again the day after.

So I emailed them to cancel the order and they email back to this email within 30 minutes.

Seems dodgy. I'd avoid and look elsewhere.

Be careful people. I have not received my money back after 2 weeks.

I usually do not write reviews but I have to make an exception in this case in order to let other people know what to except and to not fall victim as I did.

As I needed a bike for my work temporarily I started to look for cheap solutions. I found HurrEcane which seemed a legit company with a few good reviews.

I placed my order on their website, set up the direct debit and payed the deposit. As I did not get any confirmation I called them if everything is ok with the order. I was told that as soon as the direct debit clears, which was a Friday, my bike will be delivered on the following week.
The direct debit went through and the following week I sent them an email asking when I can except the bike. I got an answer that it will be delivered the next week without giving any reasons about the delay. I was also told that they organise the delivery on Monday. I said ok, but please delay the start date of the subscription as currently I'm paying for a bike which I do not have. I did not receive any reply regarding my worries about the subscription.

So I waited until Monday. As I did not receive any email from them I sent an email again Monday afternoon. I got a reply that I have to send them the insurance policy ASAP as if the delivery would be the next day. So I got very happy as I was really in need of that bike. After that I did not receive any update. I sent an email again on Tuesday afternoon if they already know about the date. I did not receive any reply. I sent another email on Wednesday. Nothing. I tried to call them. Nobody answered.

After all I got very suspicious and I started to believe that I am a victim of some kind of fraud. So I let them know that if it is case I do not have any other choice than to report them to the relevant authorities. I also told them that it seems I'm not the first one with this problem as I found another negative review on Trustpilot with the same issues.

I received an immediate and arrogant reply that my order is cancelled and they will refund everything. After that I received another email that I am very unfair because there are fuel shortages and Brexit. Which in my opinion has nothing to do with deliveries like that and even if it has to some extent they knew about their problems and the delays but they never let me know about it! It is not the delay which bothers me but the constant promises and lack of update or explanation. I mean everyone has plans and this kind of behaviour from a company is very disruptive.
In addition when I mentioned Trustpilot to them the next day all of sudden a full star positive review appeared on it. So something is very fishy.
Eventually I wasted 3 weeks with waiting instead of looking for some other options.
And I also wasted 10 minutes to write this review but it hopefully helps people what to expect.

Love my bike! It’s been a game changer for me since I haven’t been able to drive due to medical reasons. It came with a life time warranty so I feel reassured daily 😊

"Couldn’t deliver a bike"

Seemed like a great company but kept putting off delivery. Made me take out a bike insurance. After finally cancelling order after failing to deliver bike after nearly a month they would not help with the fee I paid to cancel the insurance that they made me take for a bike they could not deliver. Very poor experience. Shame. Had such good potential and I had recommended to friends.
