"Villa I Muri"

We have just returned from a lovely holiday at Villa I Muri in Sicily. Emma Villas gave us excellent directions and our stay was made very easy. The Villa was exceptionally maintained by the owner Guiseppe who took great pride in it. It had a beautiful pool that was kept spotlessly clean .Guiseepe gave us advice on where to visit and where to eat which was extremely helpful. We also loved his garden which was filled with fruit trees and flowering shrubs. I am looking forward to booking another of Emmas Villas for next year.

Vi hyrde Villa Loredana genom Emma Villas och är supernöjda. Vi fick mycket bra hjälp när vi valde vårt boende, svarade snabbt på våra frågor och var hjälpsamma hela tiden. Boendet var superfint och trevliga värdar. Det passade oss perfekt, en stor familj med barn och barnbarn. Vi längtar tillbaka och jag kommer boka med Emma villas nästa gång.

Abbiamo soggiornato a Villa La Leccina ad Erchie, posto meraviglioso.
Bellissima la piscina e molto bello il giardino x altro di notevolissime dimensioni.
Accoglienza squisita da parte dei proprietari , persone cordialissime e disponibilissime. Era la ns prima vacanza in villa con piscina e ne siamo rimasti entusiasti, sicuramente ripeteremo!

"Exceptional service and beautiful apartment"

My friends and I stayed a week at Belevedere Guastella A in Noto. The apartment was perfect in every way; beautifully decorated with everything anyone could possibly need, or want, in a holiday home. The apartment was renovated with attention to detail and a high level of craftsmanship. It's classy: We loved the art, the owner's fine taste is apparent throughout.

The location of the apartment is perfect, it is tucked away at the top of the hill and and is but a short walk to the centre of town.

The service provided by Emma Villas went beyond our expectations: When one of our party who has a medical condition got lost in the town and failed to return, our contact, Massimo provided immediate help engaging a friend from Noto to help in locating and returning him to the apartment.

The apartment "refresh" turned out to be a full cleaning including a changing the sheets and towels.

Thank you to Yvonne greeted us upon arrival and looked after us well, and to Mr. Corrato who helped when we had a minor maintenance issue. Everything we needed was immediately provided.

I would highly recommend Emma Villas and a stay at Belvedere Guastella A 8.

"Una splendida vacanza alla Masseria Samali"

Abbiamo passato una vacanza meravigliosa e rilassante alla Masseria Samali. Erano tre anni che non riuscivo a fare una vacanza a causa del mio lavoro e ne avevo davvero bisogno. Non siamo rimasti delusi. Una masseria superba, piena di storia, gestita con grande cura, in un ambiente straordinario, nel cuore del Salento, una delle regioni più belle d'Italia, ricca di storia. Vorremmo ringraziare la signora Anna Lisa Signore per la sua gentilezza, la sua competenza e tutto l'aiuto che ci ha portato durante la nostra vacanza. Grazie anche a tutti/e coloro che si sono occupati/e della manutenzione e della cura della tenuta.

"This is our 4th year with EV which…"

This is our 4th year with EV which tells you everything, and there will be a 5th. 6th ……. The 2 key positives are the customer service and the quality of the villas. My only hope for change is that they cover other parts of Italy as much as they do Toscana and Umbria. But, they are the best direct travel agency and it is well worth paying that bit extra for excellence. Their support during COVID was impeccable as our holiday was postponed intact without losing our deposit.

"We stayed at La Capannina in Camucia…"

We stayed at La Capannina in Camucia near Cortona for 3 weeks in August 2024. Although our host kindly picked us up from the train station, we were slightly disconcerted when she gave us a very brief tour of the villa and then announced that she hoped not to hear from us for the next 3 weeks! Although she said this in a light-hearted fashion saying that this would mean everything was fine, it did give the impression that she didn't want to be bothered by us, even though she and her husband lived in a villa literally next door.

The villa itself did not quite live up to our expectations, as it was very dark inside, and there was a lot of clutter. Whilst some of this could be prescribed as a matter of personal taste, it appeared that every cupboard and drawer was stuffed full with no apparent order. Indeed, when it came to changing bed linen and towels (which to be honest I expected the housekeepers/owners to do) I had to search until I found the required items packed into two ceiling high cupboards with a lot of other items not required. To be honest, it did not feel that the villa had been properly cleaned, as the floor rugs were dirty, the shower screens had obviously not been washed properly, and there was dust and cobwebs all over. Additionally I should note that the used bed linen and towels were not removed, and we just had to leave in a pile in the corner of the bedroom.
The owner advised us that her husband would be around every 3-4 days to clean the pool - whilst we were often out and about, we never saw him once during our 3 week stay; in fact in the middle week, the couple went away for a week (did not advise us to say, for example, that they could still be contacted). During our stay we found various things in the pool that we had to remove ourselves - including a large snail at the bottom of the pool, as well as a frog, and bugs too numerous to count. Additionally, there were missing and loose tiles in the pool, which could have provided a hazard, especially for children.
Especially disappointing for us, was that there was a construction site literally just over the fence behind the villa. This appeared to be the construction of a new school, which judging by it's progress had been ongoing for a considerable time. We were never made aware of this by Emma's Villas either before or after we booked the villa, and given that work continued even on some of the Saturdays and Sundays during our stay, it detracted greatly from our enjoyment of the outdoor area and poolside.
In summary, our experience was not as great as we would have hoped, and although some of this may have been down to our expectations based on previous experience (in some villas we have stayed in, twice weekly cleaning was included in the hire cost for example) there appeared little effort by the owners to assist in the experience - for example, when I texted asking if they knew any taxi numbers, preferably English-speaking ones, the owner simply responded with a PDF extract with 3-4 numbers on it - no offer to assist or even highlight which she would recommend.
We never made any complaint our comment to Emma's Villas during our stay as we just wanted to get on with our vacation, and my purpose in writing this review is purely to give our feedback on our experience for others to be aware of.

The best thing is you give coordinates and driving instructions. Easy to find these wonderful places tucked away in perfect settings.
We have been using Emma Villas for many years and never been disappointed. Properties are exactly as described.
We have been in villa elias in Palozzone and this is perfect location.
