"Beware"

Did not receive the item, this was a Royal Mail issue as they had taken an image of my door but I was unable to locate the parcel. Contacted the supplier several times but got no response. Customer service is non existent happy to take your money but unwilling to help after they have it.

"very poor quality boots"

Got the boots I ordered today, very disappointed poor quality materials used, soles are paper thin and will 100% not last long. The suede is also very low grade, do not expect much from this company. They show massive discounts on the products which in no way reflects the products they produce.

Awful company, patronising customer service, arrogant, money-grabbing business.

Exactly same experience as below, just one 10-minute wear to try on carpet, the layer of rubber grip on the soles of both the shoes were scraped off and shoes were stretched. Poorly made and yet refused to refund.

Their shoes are always on sale. Don’t fall for ‘sale’. After seeing them in person, they definitely do not worth £100+.

There were black marks on the front of the shoes on arrival. They claimed that this was “normal” and not faulty.

There were no email confirmation. They simply text or WhatsApp you. Where there is an issue (ie delay in refunds or quality issues), they would only deal with you via WhatsApp or phone to avoid any paper record to use against them.

"Completely unresponsive customer…"

Completely unresponsive customer service. Sent emails requesting to return shoes that didn’t fit, still heard nothing back. To be fair the first time I used them about a year ago everything was ok but will not be a returning customer now further to my second purchase.

"Thomas shoe"

Placed my order for the Thomas shoe( Navy/Cognac) Wednesday the 1st of Feb and arrived on the 2nd Feb around 11.am great service form the chap who took my order the phone, this is the second pair of shoes i have had and will not hesitate to buy more from Oswin Hyde.

"Deducted carriage from refund, after asking that I return unworn flawed shoes."

Deducted carriage when refunding shoes they acknowledged were flawed!

Purchased shoes, which arrived with serious flaw. Sent photo via WhatsApp, and Oswin Hyde immediately advised 'Return for replacement'.

I did so, heard nothing for a week. Contacted via WhatsApp, and received call back saying they'd get the new pair out immediately.

Never received the replacement shoes, but 6 days later received a credit to my credit card MINUS carriage. Oswin Hyde have ignored all subsequent messages.

My first and last time buying from them.

"Extremely impressed"

From the order process, to the delivery and then the product itself, we're all fantastic. The shoes are of excellent quality and fit. The shoes also come with spare laces, shoehorn, polish and individual shoe bags. Extremely impressed!

"Why is it so hard to buy from oswin…"

Why is it so hard to buy from oswin Hyde?
Found the right shoes an hour ago. Offered 10% discount so I signed up to the newsletter. It went down hill from there
- discount not applied automatically
- no code received
- no response to chat / help at 9.30 am
- phone line says they’re closed but open at 9am (at 9.30 am!)
- alternative number on Google listing is invalid

Please please please Id like to order some shoes
Is there some level if customer service available ?

"Faulty boots within 2 weeks and refused a refund"

Quick delivery and nice discount as first order.

Bought a pair of boots. After less than 2 weeks boots are faulty - Glue on outsole coming away from leather upper.

Sent off for refund, told via whatsapp a refund would be processed upon receiving boots.

Boots received, get a call out the blue via WhatsApp from the customer service rep. Talked very casually to me, trying to argue with me the shoes aren't faulty.

Gets second opinions and apparently everyone in the office at Oswin Hyde agreed they weren't faulty. Claiming its normal for outsoles to come apart slightly despite even being able to see the tearing and glue coming off.

Lots of back and forth messaging, all very casual, being addressed as "dude" and told the "construction of the boots wouldn't allow a fault" and also told if I don't want the boots back the rep will donate them to charity, and so on.

In the end have to do a chargeback through my bank. They very quickly review the evidence and decide in my favour.

Boots felt fine apart from that issue. Just wouldn't use this company after the experience I had.
