"Not scratch resistant or fit for purpose "
Our Van Gogh floor has sustained multiple scratches/marks on around 40 planks within 3 months of installation. Karndean haven’t visited our property to inspect the floor yet are “certain” it isn’t a product issue. A standard line, I have read that before on many other reviews. Like others who write reviews we wear slippers, have protective pads on all our furniture from the day of installation, take very good care of our property. Please take note of all the negative reviews or may be just never walk on your flooring after you have bought it. Also please note most of their 5 star reviews relate to their show rooms is samples not the product.

"Scratches very easily"
We have recently had Karndean flooring fitted across the whole of the downstairs. The floor has only been down for 3 months yet there are multiple scratches in several rooms. Karndean markets the product as scratch resistant and durable beauty. Our experience is that it is very susceptible to scratching and it does not have durable beauty. We wear slippers inside, put protective pads on all of our furniture immediately and take good care of our property - we have just re-done the whole of the downstairs. I asked Karndean to visit our property. They replied to offer a free cleaning kit, said it was not scratch proof and did not respond to that question regarding visiting our property. I have found multiple reviews online about susceptibility to scratching. The attitude of the company is as poor as the product. A scratch resistant product should only suffer an occasional scratch from time to time not multiple in 1/4 of a year.
For any readers of this review the replies by Karndean are not genuine in that they have no intention of supporting their consumers. Also as stated by another reviewer the 5 star reviews are of samples or show rooms and therefore misleading regarding product quality. AVOID

"Beware of false guarantees"
We have Karndean flooring in 4 rooms in the house ranging from maximum 17 years old to younger. Generally the product has been good and we have been pleased with it. However we had one tile in the kitchen start to lift and fray at the edges, we also noticed the tiles had faded quite a lot so it would not be feasible to replace the one tile. We had a local Karndean agent come round and he agreed with our diagnosis and recommended we raise a claim on the lifetime guarantee given by Karndean. I raised a claim with pictures etc and got a blunt corporate reply, even saying we should close blinds and curtains during the day to prevent fading. I wrote back asking for a site visit and full check/report, I explained all the other rooms get as much or more sunlight than the kitchen and are not faded or lifting. They came back with another blunt answer quoting lines from the "lifetime guarantee" and refused to carry out an on-site inspection. If you pay premium prices for a premium product then you expect a premium back up, unfortunately this company does not deliver that in my experience and I will not darken their door again. Beware of false guarantees!

"Poor Floor Poor Customer Service"
Liked the floor when it was installed. We were told it was a little more expensive but worth it. After 3 years the floor began to warp and "cup". despite having a Rep in the area, they requested we send them some of the floor and had it removed at our cost (not cheap) and sent it to them. After 3 months they essentially said the boards were fine and had no manufacturing issues. Despite leaving numerous messages they never contacted me and actually sent their denial of claim to the company that sold us the product. No explanation for what might cause the "cupping". The floor was not subjected to heat or water. I sent them a note saying I was displeased with their response and to send the boards back so I could have them independently reviewed. Still no contact and the boards suddenly arrive from FedEx. I would not recommend this company because this product obviously had structural flaw and the company's unwillingness to even acknowledge me personally.

"Very disappointed"
I had been very happy with my flooring laid in 2019 but beware as soon as there is a problem with it they will do anything they can to not get involved. I have been seeking help from them since September 2024 and the hoops I have had to jump through from taking photos of all areas of the flooring to seeking receipts from 2019 to prove it is what I say it is. Told there was nothing they could do to help me on Christmas Eve. Happy Christmas.

"AVOID!!!! POOR QUALITY DISGUSTING CUSTOMER SERVICE "
We had Karndean flooring fitted in March 2024. Initially we were extremely happy with the level of service and the high quality of installation. But after two months we started noticing scratches on the flooring. We contacted the company that installed our Karndean flooring and we were told that they would come and inspect it. After 3 months of waiting they finally came to look and take photographs of the flooring. We were told that they will be informing Karndean and they will let us know. After two months of chasing for a reply, the company finally received an email from Karndean. We were told this is general wear and tear and they do not cover scratches. We were also told the following:
“It seems they are recommending you try their clean and refresh product, I know you can get this on Amazon.”
But when we chose this flooring we were told this is a high premium product with a LIFETIME guarantee, it is not cheap it cost us over £8200 for only the first floor of the house. Karndeans lack of interest and disgusting customer service, they haven’t even sent a Rep to have a look at the damage. This product is NOT fit for purpose, we do not wear shoes inside the home, these scratches are everywhere and quite a few planks need replacing. After nine months this floor is not the wow factor we were promised. To be told to use an “Amazon” product to resolve the issue is not good enough. What a waste of £8200! Please do not make the same mistake we did and regret it after two months!

"The Karndean flooring in my kitchen was…"
The Karndean flooring in my kitchen was fitted by a Karndean recognised retailer - Dream Doors Ayr, during a full kitchen replacement by them in June 2022 The first split occurred not long after the flooring was put down, now 2 years on approx. It needs to be replaced. I cannot recommend this flooring to anyone. Dreadful quality.

"If you have pets at home forget it!"
If you have pets at home forget it!
We have had this flooring for almost a year and was really happy with it until we got a dog. The flooring is now scratched to pieces and looks terrible.
This flooring itself was fairly inexpensive relative to the materials and skilled labour required to install it.
