45 min de retard. Pas d'excuses, cest normal. A la prise du véhicule, quand vous avez déjà payé 800e votre location il y a 3 mois, on vous vend une assurance à 210e parce qu'on refuse votre carte (un sticker masque le "crédit" noté dessus) ,on ajoute 35e pour changer le conducteur qui nest plus celui au nom de la carte qui a réservé et on n'appelle pas ça de la vente forcée! Vous avez bien choisi de prendre l'assurance madame!
Ajoutez à ça un véhicule rendu propre et tout plein fait, une empreinte bancaire gardée bien au chaud pendant 3 mois et vous vous verrez prélevé de 60e 3 mois plus tard! Une fois on vous dit que cest pour le changement de conducteur, puis comme vous dites que vous l'avez payé dans l'assurance,on vous dit que cest pour le ménage... bref, on se sert et on garde l'empreinte bancaire pour le mois prochain !

As with others on here, I found that the camper that I had been given had none of the expected facilities and had 210,000km on the clock. The side doors could not be opened from the inside so I had to climb into the front to get out (I had just had hip surgery so this was not ideal) but the main thing was that although I returned the car clean, they charged me £50 for cleaning after I got home and they will not respond to my challenges.
I have spoken with the broker and I am speaking with my credit card for their help too.
Avoid at all costs! I have been to Iceland before and the other rental companies are much better.

COCHES MUY VIEJOS, empleados antipaticos y TIMADORES.
Alquilamos para 15 dias, nos dieron una furgo con mas de 260.000 Km reventada con la que ni siquiera Íbamos seguros. Perdimos dos días porque nos dejo tirados 2 veces y estuvimos un día entero con la furgo en un polígono esperando que nos recogieran.
Te cobran por todo, incluso gastos que no te detallan en ningún sitio y siguen pasando cargos en la tarjeta después de devolverlo sin ninguna factura.

En retard à l'aeroport de 45 minutes, pas de check de la voiture à l'entrée et sortie de location et pour finir j'ai été débite de 60 euros sur mon compte sans être prévenu alors que nous avions rendu la voiture avec le plein et tout laver de A à Z, un scandale cette agence doit fermer...

Voiture louée en mauvais état, mais quelques semaines après avoir rendu la voiture, j'ai reçu des photos avec un impact invisible pour lequel je devais payer des réparations exorbitantes. Pure arnaque.
Ce loueur devrait s'appeler, unfaircar ou FuirCar

"Poor customer service and a lot of hidden fees!"

I would like to warn you about hiring a car/camper with Faircar.
Firstly, the customer service is extremely poor. We were not met upon our arrival at the time and had to wait 1 hour at the airport and the personel was extremely grumpy for " having to work that late"
Due to our flight time being changed we arrived at 18u30, past the opening hours. Although i notified them 2 days in advance, we were still charged a 50euro after hours fee and on top of that a 50 euro amendment fee!! The camper we hired did not have the radio/usb port as discribed in the specifications so we had to listen to iceland radio for a whole week :-(
After we returned the car I was charged an additional 2 x 60euros without any communication. I had to email them and wait a week for a reply to know what the charges were. They were for not paying a toll fee that was only 10euros and an additional 50euros processing fee for the 2 toll-fee's we did not pay. An outrages amount of 100 euros for processing a simple fee.
So just be very carefull to read their terms and conditions because you will get suprise charges, for us this was a total of 200 euros.
Booking a cheap budget camper ended up costing us a whole lot more than we anticipated. My advice is to go with another supplier.

MAL MAL Y MAL. JAMAS ALQUILEIS NADA CON FAIR CAR.
Yo alquile una camper para recorrer Islandia y desde el primer momento con ellos fue un desastre. Primero van al aeropuerto cuando les da gana y claro tienes que llamarlos para que vallan cuando quieran. Luego te van a exigir que compres un seguro carisimo que no vale para nada puesto que te dan la camper llena de golpes y con mas de 250 mil km. Te dan un papel de daños para que lo firmes sin ver primero la camper y te tienen bajo las cuerdas porque no devuelven dinero alguno asi que tienes que tragar.
Te cobran por todo, 50 por ir a una hora, 50 euros por cambio de algun dato.
Cuando la devuelves no la revisan y te dicen que si quieres reclamar tu sabras pero ellos luego no te llevan al aeropuerto.
Cuando estes en tu pais estate seguro de que te van a llegar bastantes cargos y bastante altos con suerte seran proximos a los 1000 euros. Sin explicacion ni nada. No responden a los email ni quieren hablar por tlf.
Conclusion
SI NO QUIERES QUE TE ESTAFEN JAMAS ALQUILES CON FAIRCAR

I have used this car rental for many years and many times each year now and have absolutely nothing to complain about.
Maybe they don’t always have brand new cars, but the price is very responsible to.
The staff is friendly and helpful.

"Horrible!"

Horrible!! First the rental guy didn't show up at the airport, afterwards they made us pay a extra 100 euros because he pretended he was waiting for me and i wasn't there. Absolute nonsense!! Then we got a very old car with high mileage, when we brought the car back they were giving it a brief look telling us everything was ok. But surprise surprise, 2 months later they were steeling 1297 euros from our blocked MasterCard via an illegal terminal pretending we had caused damage on the car. We contacted a lawyer, MasterCard and the European consumer protection in order to get our money back. Stay away from these criminals!!!

"DONT USE THIS CAR RENTAL!"

Same problems as the people before mentioned. Additional costs which are not further explained, handover at drop-off refused (so they can charge you without detailed evidence), front lights of the car broken/impossible to use during night time (life in danger!). IMO this is straight financial criminal activity conducted here. Hope somehow Icelandic authorities and peers can be made aware of this company.
