"Unhelpful"
Purchased and prepaid for a sink/drainer, advised this was out of stock and would take 3 business days to arrive, which made this late Monday.
Went to ChCh depot to collect, only to be told collection location was elsewhere, got back in the vehicle and drove to new collection point. Warehouse Team vey helpful, except, after checking advised me the item was not in stock, would I be willing to take an alternative, I said no thanks, the design being the issue with the others. Guy went for a 2nd look but could not find the stock anywhere. I asked if he would be willing to replace this with the same design which was $20 more at their cost, the only difference being one unit had the cutout location in the steel for the tap unit, and the more expensive one did not.
He apologised and said I would need to to drive back to Watts Road and take that up with them, so I climb back in the car, drive back to the original location and repeat the request, adding I had a deadline to meet, and I had used fuel and time on their directive. Also that it stated on the Warehouse computer the ETA was the 29/7, not the 11/7 which would have been visible last week when they were eager to take my money.
The answer was a flat out no, when I asked why as there was next to no difference between the 2 items, I was advised it was Company policy, I said it was a pretty poor policy.
Imagine utilising those 2 massive warehouse spaces and having stock sitting on the shelves when you could have it moving, it would be a no brainer for $20 to most businesses.
I have never had issues with Bunnings, Mitre10, Carters, ITM or any other major players who go out of their way to make a Tradies job as easy as possible.
So I requested a refund, which was given without question. I’d rather pay extra at one of the above who use common sense and care about their Tradie and Customer timelines. I don’t appreciate liars.
I won’t be going back, especially after the reviews I have read, in fact the reviews make me believe I got off lightly!

"Never again will we deal with this…"
Never again will we deal with this company. Previous experience has been good but our last experience has been absolutely shocking. Brought a shower unit in April. When it arrived the shower tray was correct size however the door frame bottom and top rails are a different radius as a consequence it does not have even spacing and looks shocking. After many many calls and emails and photos we get the old famous trade depot run around which we are now convinced this is tactic of theirs to wear the customer down so they go away!! Several times they say their builder will ring to tell us how to instal it correctly. But they never do. Seriously you are going to get your ‘builder’ to ring and tell an experienced builder of some 40 years experience how to install something that is so obviously the wrong size. Oh but when we do ring you asking to speak to your builder on the same number given they say ‘oh we don’t have builder by that name’ Now added to issue we unpack the wall liner and discover a large crack down the middle!! Never use this company. Don’t tell us to contact MonIshaa as email already gone with photos etc and what a surprise no reply either. Oh but wait I’ll ring, ‘oh sorry not working today’. Ok I’ll try next day ‘oh no that person doesn’t deal with this sort of thing’ ok let’s start the run around process again shall we.

Recently purchased a couple of kitchen wall cabinets, which arrived with the doors damaged. Organising replacements was easy. Always had excellent service from Trade Depot. Will use them again.

Again, another hassle free experience shopping online with Trade Depot is from purchase, payment and today's scheduled delivery.
The new black rangehood, once installed, is gonna look fabulous with my new black Samsung fridge/freezer, black Samsung microwave oven and new Westinghouse stove. Thanks Trade Depot. Awesome.

"My worst experience"
Never again! I will never buy anything from this company again! Almost 2 months ago I bought a wall oven from them. The first one arrived damaged, which was replaced with a new one that turned out to be damaged also! The outer package in both cases was intact. It looked suspicious to me and I demanded a refund. It took me almost a month of emails and phone calls just to get the numbers of the credit notes for the refund, and now 4 weeks later and after many regular calls to the customer service I still did not receive the money! It is outrageous! It is my worst experience of dealing with the NZ retailer.

The experience has been generally poor, delayed communications and unfortunately I am still waiting on a reply or some form of communication as the problems are still not resolved

"TOP NOTCH SERVICE"
Went in to the CHCH depot and had a good idea what I wanted to look at Sachin Vohra was incredibly helpful and his knowledge around products was top notch.I haven't had this level of service in a very long time I walked out feeling fantastic about my purchases, will 100% be back to fit out the remainder of the build

"Very poor"
Ordered a freezer, it completely failed within 2 weeks causing a large loss in frozen food. Tradedepots customer service is difficult and frustrating (their live chat takes hours for each response and they wouldn’t answer the phone). Whilst they did agree to a refund, this still took a long time to be processed and I had to chase as they only refunded part initially. Would not recommend at all for both poor quality appliances and frustrating customer service.

Very, satisfactory service from TD, dealt with Isabella in the Christchurch office, she was most helpful and dealt with my enquiry efficiently, as she has done on previous occasions .
Recommend her.
