"Ring Central has the worst customer…"

Ring Central has the worst customer service of any major corporation I've ever dealt with. DO NOT USE THEM. I have talked to over 13 customer service agents, for over 15 HOURS. Just to get the phones and set them up. We have had ZERO support on how to use the system, and RC does not schedule "on boarding" sessions. I am the founder and president of the Dermacare Laser Clinics franchise system. Save yourself from some BRAIN DAMAGE and avoid this company like the plague.

I’ve seen your response and it is not surprising that it pathetic. Instead of setting up a training / onboarding session for us - which after that review an ethical company would have within the, you tell to call back in to your unhelpful customer service, where I’ve already spent 15 hours and got nowhere. That is insult to injury. You have ALL of those calls recorded- why don’t you listen to them and have your executives unstand just how mindless and useless your customer. I defy you to listen to and say everything’s ok. I’ve recorded them also. You are just trying to brush this off: i can promise you it’s not only not going away, it will go to every major review service in the world with direct quotes.

Here’s a direct quote for you; when i was begging to get some help the first customer rep said “we really don’t provide that, go to you tube and watch some videos. That’s your support. At least that person was honest, unlike all of your sales people and marketing materials.

I’m sure there is a large audience watching how you handle this.

"Nightmare trying to cancel my TRIAL "

I've been a RC customer for only a few days - my sales person was wonderful, but everything has been a nightmare since, and I'm unable to get support. Today, someone scheduled an appointment with me but was out of the office for the holiday. I'm currently on a chat which has been going on nearly 30 minutes, and I've been spending most of my time waiting. I called last Friday for help getting set up, and they said they couldn't help me. I'm ready to quit my contract within just a few days of signing up.

Edited - after a person who scheduled an appointment with me was not at work, and I was stuck on an incredibly slow chat (it's been 40 minutes so far, barely hearing back from their employee), and my phone app saying "cannot recover," I asked in the chat to cancel my account (barely five days old). Good thing I have a trial period! On the chat, the last thing I heard from the person was that it'd be 3 or 4 minutes to get back to me, and it's been at least 15!

I have a small business to run, and this is entirely unacceptable!

2/20/24 In response to my post, you have the gall to ask me to email you. I have just emailed my so-called account representative, Raven Canvoy - who had an appointment scheduled with me yesterday, but was out of the office - ask her what I wrote.

Meanwhile, please cancel my account and confirm.

2/20/24 I have been trying to cancel my TRIAL account for approximately 30 hours now. They are making it unbelievably difficult.

2/24/24 I only had one account, unless they're counting my "company" phone number and free included "personal" phone number as two. I have received email confirmation that my account has been closed, but it should not have been so time-consuming and challenging to close a "trial" account, especially since I first began trying to cancel within just a few days of signing up.

"I really wanted to use RC as my UCAAS…"

I really wanted to use RC as my UCAAS platform but their SMS registration process is ridiculous. I am a one-person operation (Executive Recruiter) and my clients and candidates prefer SMS communication. the process to get approved took me 6 attempts and still no approval. The last reason was that I didn't have a social media presence or a website. I do not use mass SMS campaigns but it didn't make a difference. Needless to say, I went elsewhere It's apparent they're only interested in doing business with large companies with many users.

"Not for small businesses"

Not for small businesses. Service and options are good if you have many resources for your company. Absolute worst choice if you are a new or small business. I would go as far to say their sales, contract, and renewal processes are predatory. They count on you missing renewal times and oversell the need of services. Account managers are not really account managers at all but just sales people and when a concern is voiced they refer you to general customer service which is an outsourced facility not located in the United States. I called to discuss a renewal and reduction of services that we did not authorize. Ring Central was unable to identify the individual who authorized the new more expensive services and I was essentially told that only an authorized rep of the company could have authorized it and we are stuck with the current contract without proof of authorization. I also tried to renegotiate the contract. At first I was asked a lot of what if questions by the overseas rep to substantiate leaving unused services on the account as a wasted expense. After that I inquired about renegotiating our contract for another full term but adjusting for services we actually use. The rep got frustrated and ultimately hung up on me. I reported the instance to our account manager, Melvin R, and all I got was a generic apology and no attempt to work with us. Just continued abuse of the terms of our contract. They are not willing to work with you at all if you are sold into services you don't need.
One final note: Ring Central lists Google reviews on their website but no longer accept new reviews from Google. This is an obvious indication that they had begun to receive negative reviews likely similar to my issues. Red flag when a company has posted positive reviews but no longer accepts reviews at all. If you find reviews on 3rd party sites like Trust Pilot and Reddit you will see many negative reviews. These reviews are not pertaining to the service itself but predatory practices similar to my issues. Beware entering into an agreement with this company.

"Worst Customer Service; Not Ready for Prime Time"

I'm a lawyer. I've been a RingCentral customer for over 3 years.

Along the way, RingCentral informed me I had to purchase an add-on service to archive text messages in my own Dropbox account, to avoid having my text messages automatically deleted by RingCentral on a rolling three-month basis.

In other words, on June 1, I could only view texts back to March 1; texts before March 1 were permanently deleted without notice to me. On June 2, I could only view texts back to March 2. Etc.

Then, even after installing Archiver, I could only back up SMS from that day forward. As RingCentral provides no ability to manually export SMS data, I had to continue to watch helplessly while the previous 90 days of SMS continued auto-deleting.

Imagine, RingCentral did not tell me that I needed a paid add-on, and paid cloud storage, to avoid auto-deletion of extremely important communications between my clients and me. It was in RingCentral's best interest (in addition to mine) to tell me this on Day 1, so it could charge me a higher fee, but RingCentral didn't do that.

Clearly, RingCentral is not ready for prime time.

Then, a month ago, RingCentral's Archiver stopped working. I've opened two cases with customer service. Each case was closed as resolved, with RingCentral stating I have a "Product Known Issue. This means that we are having discussion on how we can resolve this bug for future RingCentral app updates, and currently we do not have an ETA when this will be resolved."

RingCentral has not provided a timetable for when the issue will be repaired, if ever. RingCentral has not offered to reimburse me for the disabled service I pay extra for. RingCentral has not offered to manually back up and export my texts and attachments until the issue is fixed.

RingCentral has the worst customer service.

I am in the process of moving to a much more sophisticated, comparably priced VOIP provider that saves SMS in its cloud storage for up to 10 years, for no extra fee.

Goodbye, RingCentral. Goodbye garbage customer service.

"The most horrible experience of all…"

The most horrible experience of all time.
Apparently, RingCentral has evergreen clause that gets your trapped for 2 years extension with 0 courtesy notice by an account manager in case you want to make any adjustments. You are simply just stuck with them.

Ever since they updated their app, we can no longer use half of the good features they used to have and guess what, even though I had to switch to a much better provider, I am trapped with this horrible provider and have to continue to pay the service until the contract expires!

Good for you RingCentral. Continue to scam people and it will make you great short term money, but customer loyalty is here almost non existing. I will make it a mission to talk bad about this shady company because other providers are just WAY BETTER under fair terms and conditions and have better quality and features.

I regret ever signing the deal with this company!
