After many hours of searching to see which travel agency fits my needs, I decided to go with UME Travel. I was looking for a company that: 1) can personalize my tour (vs those tours with a set schedule and the activities are already chosen) 2) office where the agent works is located in Thailand (although UME headquarters is in China, the agents are based in Bangkok) 3) no hidden fees (what they quote is exactly it) 4) one person you can refer back to just in case something happens (instead of scrambling around to figure out who to contact ie this happened to us. Our ATV activity pick up was late and we didn’t know what happened. We WhatsApp our agent to inform her and she contacted the ATV company and kept us apprised.)

We were so lucky to have Dan Li help us from figuring out our itinerary, which took 3 revisions. Then two of our friends decided to join after seeing our activities. Dan helped add them on seamlessly.

There was only one snag during the trip. We went to Bangkok, Chiang Mai, and Phuket. At each destination, an agent welcomed us. But in Phuket, our agent was just not right. I contacted Dan and Dan helped us change the agent. I love how Dan was literally with us before and during the trip.

This was peak tourist time with a lot of demand and yet Eva put together a highly customized trip with excellent guides and drivers. Highly recommend

"Excellent First Experience In Japan"

My family and I went through UME Travel for our trip to Japan and it was fantastic! Amber did an excellent job personalizing our itinerary to our interests and needs. The greatest things about our trip were the flexibility of our guides and schedule, included meals, and consistent communication of their employees (Isaac, Cave, and Kilan are excellent!).
We hope that for guests in the future, UME will improve the Fuji Kawaguchiko experience (all attractions they recommended in that area were very tourist-y) and set a firmer drop off time with their guides. Some guides dropped us off at our hotel at 4:00 PM and others dropped us off at 7:00 PM. Additionally, one of our guides, Bruce, could benefit from some additional training in guest relations. We recommend him if you are interested exclusively in history and religion. Otherwise, we cannot recommend him.
Overall, we recommend this company if it is your first time visiting a country, especially if you do not know the language!

Dan Li was awesome. He was very patient and made sure he tailored our itinerary accordingly to accommodate our wishes. We stayed at five star hotels and had private tours in Bali. He was also very responsive and made sure that our trip went smoothly. I highly recommend UME travels.

Amber made the planning for our first trip to Japan as stress free as possible. All we had to do was let UME know what we wanted to do, what we were interested in seeing, and where we wanted to go and they built the itinerary based off of that.
Over the course of planning, a lot of changes were being made on our end and Amber responded quickly and worked with us as efficiently as she could to accommodate our changes and answer any questions
Would highly recommend using especially if you're a first time traveler to any of the locations they offer because it made planning so easy. They even purchase all of the tickets we needed ( I.e for Tokyo Disney, Universal, all bullet train passes, etc)
We were given drivers as well as a tour guide who spoke English and Japanese. Who were all incredibly friendly and helpful with any questions we had.
All of this was done for a very reasonable price. A lot of other companies were asking almost $2,000 for what we were given.

They swiftly resolved problems and even managed to rebook us into another hotel seamlessly when there were issues with our original booking.
