"Be warned. Did you do like me and come here after the pain?"

Website says "Brand new. All products are 100% brand new ". Lower down on item page, it says "PRODUCTS ARE LIKE BRAND NEW RETAIL READY" and "CONDITION HAS NO COSMETIC DEFECTS, BLEMISHES, DENTS, SCRATCHES OR SIGNS OF AGE". The iPhone XS arrived with a significant dent. In communication with them, they never addressed the fact that the iPhone was not new. Multiple emails were sent before a response was had. Company address in USA. They say return address in England is to a third party that deal with returns only. It would seem to me that this arrangement would try to discourage reports to Trading Standards. The review I wrote for the product in response to the request for a review, has not been published on their website. I was grateful I had paid by PayPal and was able to raise a dispute, which Paypal paid out on.

"Do not buy from this company Beware!!"

Do not buy from this company! I ordered a watch for my sisters birthday on 23/4/20 and it has not arrived! I can’t get in touch with them as there is no phone and they are not responding to my emails. I cannot track the order because when I put the order number into their tracking option on their website it says incorrect tracking number! Am really disappointed with this experience DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY!! Beware!!

"Miss sold Old iPhone as New - Not responding to complaints"

This company cheated. They sold me a phone in Dec 2019 'New' opened box saying that the phone was purchased as new by someone, opened but returned 'new'. When I started having failures on the phone I contact Apple to get manufacturer warranty repair and Apple formally confirmed to me that phone was first purchased by someone in Aug 2018, activated and used (I have formal Apple e-mail)! So SMARTXDIRECT miss sold me a phone as new. After 4 months of using a phone, it shows battery service required, lens is loosing focus (dirt inside) + other things. They havan't responsed to any of my emails or chat question or phones! Now I'm left with a phone which is old (not new as I purchased( and they don't respond to any contact! Don't buy from them!

"Advertised as new but was sent a faulty reconditioned tablet - SCAM"

They sent a faulty reconditioned tablet instead of a new one. They do not answer the phone, and do not always respond to emails or online chat. I sent the faulty model back 30/04/20 however i am still waiting for a refund and now they are not responding back at all when I have asked for an update. Beware when ordering from this company and take heed of the negative reviews.... there's a reason there are so many of them!

"Do not buy from this company!"

Do not buy from this company!
I ordered a samsung tablet from them. A couple of days later I received an email to say the order had been cancelled as they suspected the payment was fraudulent. This was obviously a surprise and concern to me so I tried to contact them using their question tool on the website and by emailing them, but did not receive a response to either. A couple of days later I noticed that despite saying the order was cancelled, they still proceeded to take the payment.
I have now tried to contact them by phoning their American customer services number (no answer) and sending a message on whatsapp, from which I received an automated reply to say that someone would respond.My simple advice to anyone else who wants to avoid going through the same is do not use this company.

"Avoid like the plague!"

Purchased a watch on the 01/02/20 which is apparently arriving tomorrow 04/03/20 as per a delivery email received from both SmartX Direct and Royal Mail. On the 10/02/20 I requested an update as this was a present for Valentine’s Day, to which I received a response that this was processing and when they are able to ship, I would be notified. Realising this was cutting it short, I responded to the email asking for this to be cancelled. I have received no such response until yesterday that my item was on its way. Again I have contacted to advise I want a refund and told to refuse the item upon delivery and a refund will be issued. Regrettably, I have only checked these reviews post purchase but it would seem I will not receive a refund and it’s highly likely the item will be fake or refurbished, if such item arrives. I will be contacting my credit card provider for a refund direct and would strongly recommend that no uses this company moving forward!!
