Incredibly bad communication with clients. Extremely slow. Work is left when the fee earner is on leave without anyone covering for them causing more delays. The way they operate makes the stressful process of purchasing a house even more stressful. I would not recommend them to anyone.

I'd like to know who handled the cases for the positive reviews because my experience so far has been horrendous, and as some other reviewers have stated, is taking a toll on my mental health! There is lack of communication, no one responds to phone calls or e-mails, you have to wait about 3 weeks to hear anything back. My case has been sitting for already half a year and still no completion date in sight! I am a first-time buyer, and I have been made to feel like I am an inconvenience for trying to chase up with them, and I can't help feeling like I am being deliberately ignored and that my transaction is being neglected. Truly a disappointing experience, and still living it! My hair is falling from all this stress you are causing!

Throughout the process the communication has been absolutely amazing, towards the end getting the last few bits sorted, I pushed and pushed the solicitor, Shannon Horler remained professional and spot on with her work.

Use your brain. If you are here to look up reviews on direction law, two words. Scroll back. I’ve spent a long time procrastinating whether to bother with a review but I feel it’s my social responsibility to do so. I’m not a serial review and rarely bother with these types of things at all, but here is our views, our buyers used this company and the process took over 6m of painful and impactful bad service.

Direction law clearly magic good reviews in ‘lots’ to cover up all the real bad reviews. This company is giving buyers and sellers throughout entire chains mental health issues with their lack of professionalism. They lie. They loose things. They are incompetent, archaic and inefficient. Impossible to get hold of and escalating anything within their company is laughable.
The whole chain lost money due to their incompetence and broken promises. If anyone in your chain is using this company be very prepared for a long haul slog and protect your mental health in advance. Every other solicitor in our chain was appalled with their service levels. I won’t bore you with the details, it’s just a repetition of all the others. And direction law, don’t patronise all us real reviewers by answering us with one of your generic responses. Use your time to sort out your staff efficiency, phone system and general company values. I would hate to think a that any other family would have to go through what we did.

Overall great experience, one member of staff was quite difficult to get a hold of; he was dealing with the ID verification checks so a vital part of the process. The case officer and lawyer did continue to follow up for us so all was ok. Would recommend
