"No contact with landlord - no room just problems"
Room rented on 19th nov 24 from 1st january with arrival planned on 6th jan, renting period - over 6 months.
Tenant arrived by plane - and had no possibility to check in. No phone to landlord, no answers on mails - nothing!
Even thehomelike looks cannot catch them (habyt.com).
today will be 3rd day in a hotel...
Glad that thehomelike customer service (thank u Liliana - i can imagine u made more than u could) engaged/pushed landlord and explained that my reservation disapeared - system problems :) :) :)
Offered me 100% money back at least (better than nothing)... now i need to wait until landlord returns money to thehomelike and thehomelike to me - its a shame - it is your internal problem - i dont need to interfere between you 2
anyway its was not my goal - i spend money not to recivie it back after 2 months but to have a place to live and not for being nervous looking for a place to spend nights (now 3...) in a stress - and i can imagine it will take some more days to find new one
Unfortunately reservation is lost (money not received yet), another money spent for hotels, wasting time and feeling homeless
FINALLY i'm still without a place to live :( :( :(
I was informed that procedures does not allow them to offer another room instead so i need spend twice as much as I wanted to rent something new (i doubt if return will be made today or tomorrow)

"Great location and nice working space"
The apartment is in perfect shape. The kitchen-living room area is very functional with plenty of natural light. It is only 2 min from the metro L5 and very convenient to move quickly to many spots in the city. The area is also very nice, just by Gaudí avenue, with plenty of restaurants and a nice 10 min walk to the Sagrada Familia. I will definitely repeat in my next visit!

Gute Erfahrung
Wohnung war sehr schön und wie auf den Bildern abgebildet. Freundliche und schnelle Abwicklung durch Homelike.
Auch Vermieter war nett und hat in Wohnung viel zur Verfügung gestellt (Küchenutensilien, Wäscheständer, Bügelbrett).
Alles in allem eine gute Erfahrung :)

Con la gestión de entraga de las llaves observamos desorganización, nos hicieron esperar más del tiempo pautado.
Había cosas en el departamento un poco deterioradas.
Sábanas sucias, silla rota, lavadora dañada. Y la gestión para solventar esto también fue de mucha espera.

Auch wenn es teuer ist, ist es für alle, die das nötige Geld haben, eine sehr gute Option. Der Service, die Lage und die Ausstattung sind super.

Ist ja schön und gut wenn man versucht seine objekte auf nirmalen immobilien seiten zu vertreiben, aber das was diese firma macht ist spam und wucher... alle angebotenen wohnungen kosten das 3-4 fache vom normalen mietpreis und die gegend in der ich wohne (nah an der schweiz) ist sowieso schon überteuert.
Herausfiltern lassen sich diese unnötigen wucher angebote gar nicht, da preiswerte 4 zimmer wohnungen teilweise so viel kosten wie deren 1 zimmer wohnungen. Die preise die hier angeboten werden sind deutlich mehr als durchschnittliche monatslöhne hier in der gegend und kein normal arbeitender mensch kann sich so eine wohnung auf dauer leisten wenn die kleinsten wohnungen schon teurer sind als ein vollzeit-Arbeitslohn.
Wenn das hauptziel tourismus ist und kurzzeitige vermietung dann ist der spam auf den ganzen immobilien seiten MEHR ALS FEHL AM PLATZ da sich kein normaler bürger so eine wohnung mieten werden kann...
Die anzeigen auf immobilien webseiten sind einfach nur unnötig, nerven und nicht im interesse wohnungssuchender in der gegend.

"Wrong address, no hot water, stolen deposit, misery"
This property in Oxford caught my attention because of its ideal location, attractive interior design, and reasonable price.
Indeed, the location was absolutely perfect, and the house was more or less as nice as depicted in the photographs.
But the positives end there. The negatives:
Homelike immediately passed me off to a third party called StayBeyond, which demanded a £2,352 deposit paid to them directly by wire transfer. That seemed fairly sketchy, but what choice did I have?
StayBeyond didn’t respond to my sending the money. I had to follow up with them by email and specifically get them to confirm receipt.
A day or two before my stay was to begin, I still didn’t have any information from StayBeyond about the address of the property or how to obtain the key. I emailed them and they assured me they’d send it before the beginning of my stay.
I flew internationally into Heathrow, and when I arrived, I had information from they specifically directing me to a location about a mile away from the house in order to obtain the key. That seemed strange. I emailed them to confirm and they confirmed it.
I went to this location -- the convenience store Londis on Walton Street -- and there was no key or keybox matching their description. I called them on the phone. They told me simply to “look for the box on the fence across the street” but there was no such thing. They said they had photographs they could send me, and I told them to please do so as soon as possible, as I had been flying for over twelve hours and was stranded outside on Walton Street in the cold with all of my luggage. They did not email me for over one hour.
Their email told me that indeed the key was not outside of Londis but back at the apartment itself, a mile away. So I spent the first two hours of my “stay” simply waiting outside in the cold and dragging all of my bags across Oxford.
The house itself was perfectly nice.
The instructions provided gave me completely incorrect information about how and when trash and recycling would be picked up. I tried calling to ask for clarification, and it was clear that I was talking to someone halfway around the world with absolutely no information about Oxford recycling pickup. I found the information myself through Googling. I’ve never in my life rented a property where no one was able to tell me what day the trash would be picked up!
More importantly, the hot water did not work. I stayed in this apartment for six weeks in October-November with my pregnant wife, and we did not have a hot shower the entire time. I exchanged a total of 27 emails with StayBeyond about this, but they refused to even send an inspector (or even to let me bring in an inspector with my own money!). The hot water heater had not been inspected in over 4 years -- it is a legal requirement in the UK that landlords have them serviced annually. And its meter registered a water pressure that was, dangerously, over three times the standard operating pressure. Something was clearly broken, and possibly even dangerous, and they were clearly outside of their obligations under UK law, but they did nothing even after 27 emails. Eventually I simply gave up.
Finally, after all of that, they never returned my deposit. When I emailed them 14 days after the end of my stay, which was their legal window to return it, I got no response. The following day, I was told that the company was entering bankruptcy, and that if I wanted any hope of seeing my £2,352 deposit again -- unlikely -- I would need to take it up with their solicitors.
It’s honestly hard for me to imagine a more infuriating or enraging experience, literally from the very beginning to the very end. I would not wish this experience on my worst enemy.
I booked and paid through Homelike's platform, trusting their vetting of property managers. That trust was severely misplaced, as they connected me with a company that breached their obligation at every level, and has now stolen my deposit money.
