"DONT BUY DONT BUY, Touchwood Gift Card from EML"
Received a gift card then realised I had another one from last year. Went up to Touchwood shopping centre to use it, found out it was 2/3 days out of date. I tried to use it the week before but shop didn’t accept them,
I immediately rang them, that was useless. Then I emailed if they could kindly extend it for a week . I had an automatic reply saying they were busy but would get back to me, this was sent on the 20th Dec. I have emailed twice since but didn’t even get an automated reply. Now I know they don’t have to extend the card, but where’s the good will for only a couple of days .
SO WHERE DO I FIND YOUR DIRECT REPLY THAT YOU SAID YOU SENT ?

DISASTER!! Terrible company, terrible customer service, cannot use the card online or in person. Like all others have tried endlessly to get ahold of someone on the phone is pointless, waited 50 minutes today and then told to leave a message no reply. I am trying to book flights which have now gone up in price because of the delay in getting ahold of anyone who can help >:(

Issue raised mid November and still not resolved they don't even bother replying to my emails anymore!!!
No card no Christmas presents...
Myself and my husband both get these cards from time to time from our employers. If there's an issue with activation, unlocking .... anything... you're screwed.
I will make sure to spread the word wherever I can (including employers buying these cards) and give the feedback they deserve.
The more people know about this scam the better.
13/05/2024 Update
- It took 5 months to get new card from PERX which I still can't register.
- It is impossible to contact support
- It is impossible to create or use existing account with the new card... it fails with "inactive account number" error.
- at this stage I am going to start the "small claim procedure" described on citizensinformation dot ie

"I don’t know why anyone would buy this…"
I don’t know why anyone would buy this card. Such an inaccessible card and concept, having to register with your birthdate etc and I tried to validate my card multiple times on their site and it was not working.
Whoever designed this concept - how could you not think of a better way to design a card like this - there are so many ones that are great like One4All
AND it takes DAYS to activate once you’re through that process.
I would be embarrassed to design something so useless

Impossible to use nightmare.. as a company we will not be using Perx for our staff Christmas bonus in 2024

Unable to redeem card.
Wrote customer support, agent responded asking to test a few steps, sent message on Dec 3rd stating that the steps did not help and I am still unable to redeem card, did not receive a response until today (Jan 4th) and agent replied stating to follow the activation guidelines or to contact phone support which works great for someone working nights.

Thankfully found all these reviews here which at least confirm it's not me it's Perx! I received a virtual card, letters and no CCV so can't use it anywhere. Tried registering to set up an account, no joy there either, and emailed Card Support - no response to date. No idea how to access the funds, and it seems like I'm not alone.

Perx boldly claimed a virtual card that would seamlessly navigate the MasterCard network, conveniently forgetting to include the vital CVV number. My frustration escalates as I find myself unable to access my hard-earned €450, imprisoned in the digital void they call a service.
Attempts to engage their customer service, akin to shouting into a void, have yielded no resolution. Perx, you've not only failed to deliver on your promises but have left me stranded with funds I can't access. This virtual card is as useful as a chocolate teapot – a tantalizing promise that crumbles upon use. For anyone considering Perx for virtual transactions, beware: your money might as well be lost in the digital abyss. Furious and financially hindered, I urge potential users to steer clear of this virtual calamity.
Perx, your negligence is costing me more than just euros – it's costing my patience and trust.

"Have been direct messaging them since…"
Have been direct messaging them since November. Even got on the phone once after 1 hour long wait... All to no avail- direct messages stay unanswered and the phone call whilst promising at the time- asked me to send email with order- remains unanswered to this day- email was sent before Christmas. Then to add insult to injury they emailed a few days ago to ask if all my issue were resolved- laughable !!!
