"An Exceptional Experience With An Exceptional Team at Atomosphere Press"

After several years' disappointment with a previous self-publishing company, I found an article about Atmosphere Press, read all the information given several times over a period of a month, then decided this was a company who would take my work seriously. A few more weeks passed as I pondered the considerable investment required. Finally, I contacted the company and submitted my work. Unlike the previous company I worked with, Atmosphere presented me with a dedicated group of editors, along with an experienced publicity staff to bring me to the decision to commit myself to working with this company. Editing took several months and introduced me to a team who would scrutinize line by line what I had written and who would allow me to present my case for the way I had used a word or phrase before accepting its inclusion in the manuscript. Following this procedure, I was given the opportunity to correct any errors I found before the manuscript was passed on to the printers. I was amazed at the finished product - only a couple of items needed further correction. How impressed I was with the final product, with graphics that enhanced the appearance. Ronaldo Alves worked with me to combine elements from different samples he had provided for the eye-catching cover. Other staff members worked with me to provide reviews, a televised reading, a beautiful website which included readers' reviews as well as reviews from well-known sources, such as Kirkus. I enjoyed working with friendly, caring staff members - every one of you although names elude me at the moments. I especially enjoyed meeting Nick and Cam at the Book festival held in Kansas City earlier this year. I've made a few sales as opposed to 0 sales from my first publisher. When I submitted a notice to my Alumni newsletter, which goes to readers around the world, the editors included a picture of the beautiful cover of the book, which I'm sure will attract positive reactions from alumni. Exhausting at times, the year spent in producing THE LOST PRINCESS OF ALICANTE was well worth it.

The publication process for both FORCES and RANBIR was completely new to me, and good communication was essential in bringing it to completion. Nick, Kyle, Alex, Erin and Ronaldo all tapped into my imagination and took care that the final product, as much as possible, would become as I had hoped to see it. Cassandra did the heavy work of formatting, a long process which required extra steps and a lot of patience. But how it paid off! I am thankful for Cameron and Hayla's efforts to bring my books to the attention of reviewers and keep open the avenues for further promotion. Evan helped me set up the website for both books, and is always there to answer my questions and take care of the technical issues.

I've had a great experience with Atmosphere. My debut novel was released by them last October, after an eight-month production process. Being my first trip down the road to publication, I learned a lot. The entire staff was professional and supportive. Now, I'm nearing the release date of my follow-up novel, and it has been another pleasing experience. Specifically, the editorial staff and the art department are awesome. I have received numerous complements on the cover art of both books. It has required a significant monetary investment, but the excellent service and the fine finished product are well worth it. I hope to use them again for my third book of this trilogy. I highly recommend them for any first-time author.
