Smiths built my conservatory a few years ago, we were very happy with the job when it was completed. They had to come back out a few months ago for a minor repair but that was fixed promptly.

Unfortunately had the misfortune of dealing with Smiths Ltd.
They were so responsive to queries and couldn't do enough for us - UNTIL they had our business.
Lie after Lie, we didn't know where to turn. Luckily enough they terminated the contract which we were very surprised about. Wasted 3 months, they gave us a quote before christmas, we signed it etc. Had the surveyor for the drawings, paid the deposit, then excuse after excuse. Was told the planning permission had been sent off. Then we are told a week later that there isn't enough money in it for them so they are terminating the contract. In the letter we received and on the Phone call from them, we were told we weren't entitled to a refund even though we had a Variation of Contract signed over a month ago which supposedly wasn't on the file. Dodged a bullet by the sounds of things.
Still waiting on our deposit to be returned though....
Update - Just been told on the phone that there is no urgency to process my refund due to my negative review. You couldn't make it up.

Where to start: Operations manager Rude/intimidating/obnoxious!
No customer service received at all! Took 7 months to complete from time of signing agreement to completion. Broke promises to get the work complete, schedule of works limited and then broken. left the garden like a building site, including leaving a bucket full of urine at the bottom of the garden, topped off with satisfaction/completion of works fraudulently signed to release funds into their account! when the work was far from satisfactory or complete. WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY BASED ON CUSTOMER SERVICE ALONE. I Would have cancelled our contract based on the first telephone conversation with the Operations Director who was so rude I have never in my life had this kind of service before. Disgusted!

I had guttering installed in Feb last year. It wasn't installed correctly as I had issues with rain leaking in parts of it. Someone came out in May but it wasn't fully resolved.
Since December I have been trying to get someone from Smiths to return to rectify the install. Communication is non existent. Emails take weeks to be replied to, I finally get a promise of Smiths sending someone down who doesn't turn up. I get promises of people going to call me to resolve this and it doesn't happen.
I would avoid this company.
Update - 16th Feb. Smiths finally turned up. The two gents were very helpful and adjusted the gutter where water wasn't running. Looks to be resolved.
