Have used smiths now a couple of times , very good service this time , fitters were excellent clean and tidy job

Done a good Job.Windows and doors look good. Had a missing door knocker and window key re-arranged for them to come back and they did.
One annoying thing was, they said the job would take 2 days, with 2 men on the job.
For 2 days I only had one guy Scott. He was very good, but clearly needed help and he didn't finish job in 2 days.
I only booked of 2 days from work, so had to arrange for someone to be here as i couldn't take no more time of work. 2 different guys turned up the next day.
I would of liked to of been here when they finished the job.

Very good price and installed as promised on time, Installation was professional and only took 2 days for 17 windows,

"AVOID - AWFUL!!"

Have used this company before and they were ok, asked them to fit new front door and replace misted up sealed units in bathroom window.
They fitted the door, which had its own issues, but the BIG problem is the bathroom window.
Their installer removed the old glass, found the new glass was the wrong size, and replaced the old glass WITHOUT REFITTING THE SEALING GASKETS.
He rang the company, and basically we were persuaded to replace the complete window. The door and the replacement units were paid for in full, and the balance payment for the new window was to be paid once fitted. Simple, right? WRONG!
After ELEVEN calls to the company to chase the survey, I was informed that the company had terminated the contract as "there wasn't enough money in it for them". Why quote it in the first place??
Anyway, I then asked them to refit the gaskets they removed, and give me my money back or honour the contract and fit the new units as per agreement.
They just ignore calls, and letters. Absolutely abysmal customer service and attitude. AVOID....AWFUL!!

We had Smiths Glass fit double glazing and a new front door in August 2017, the experience has been a mixed one..........the initial sales representative and surveyor were professional and pleasant. The 2 fitters were again professional, however the front door appeared tight in the frame and 2 sets of french doors to balconies on the first floor were difficult to lock....I hoped they would improve over time.
Now the colder weather has come (end of November) the front door and 2 sets of french doors are a significant problem - difficult to close and lock. I called Smiths service line a week ago and was told a fitter would call me back to arrange to rectify problems....this hasn't happened to my knowledge. I have tried calling the service line 3 times this week and I can't get an answer despite staying on the line up to 40 minutes, I have also tried E-mail and can't get a reply.......I hope someone will contact me soon. I am not over impressed with the after care support service :-(

UPDATE - Smiths Glass have now contacted us and the problems with the doors are all rectified - Thank you Smiths Glass :-)

"First class product and installation"

I live in the conservation area of Gidea park and had to undergo plannng permission to change my windows. This involved a strict criteria one of which was to choose a company with a like for like profile to match the existing windows in order to maintain the character of the conservation area. Smiths glass ltd met the required criteria and I am pleased to say that my windows and doors are now installed. The fitters Dan and grant were excellent. It took two days for them to fit 18 windows and two doors. I left them alone in my home whilst I went to work. Every room had been vacuumed and left clean and tidy. All rubbish was removed. My husband and I couldn't be happier.

The whole experience from meeting the representative to the actual fitting was very smooth.
The fitters were excellent and worked very hard to ensure the job was completed in a timely manner.
