Coming to the end of our subscription. I would definitely recommend Elmo. Decent prices (shop around and compare) and good customer service. Charging electric vehicles at public points is still a bit of an art but you’ll find a routine that works for you.

The booking system is easy to do and the staff were very helpful. My only criticism of that would be that I had to chase for information and updates a couple of times. I had to request a tracking link and the car was delivered mid afternoon despite a request for 8am - 12noon delivery. The car is fine and I was pleasantly surprised. The delivery person seemed in a hurry to get going and once he realised we had had an electric car before and had a home charger he was really keen to leave. Having said all of the above, I would certainly recommend the company, they have provided a great service in being able to rent a car at a reasonable rate for the period of time between selling my car and waiting for my new one.

I have taken delivery of my new Corsa Electric car on Thursday and it is fantastic! All the way through from application to delivery and the service I have received beyond has been exemplary. It was so incredibly easy to view the choice of cars available and to apply. Previously to deciding to opt for Elmo, I was dealing with a "traditional" car finance company and it was worse than applying for a mortgage! Sending every piece of ID over and waiting days between requests!
I then decided to go electric. Upon first looking at the pricing (£509 for a Corsa with public charging included), I thought wow that's expensive. However, once you break it down it really isn't. A 16 plate Astra was going to cost me £220 a month in HP payments, plus £60 in insurance, £150 for fuel at today's prices, £10 for breakdown cover and £25 for extended warranty and service plan. We're up to £465 a month and bear in mind, that is for a 6 year old car locked into a 5 year commitment! All of a sudden, £509 sounds reasonable right?
Also, you have to remember that if you don't like the car, or a new one comes out, or circumstances change - you can easily switch to a different model with just a delivery fee of £95, which I probably will be doing as the Corsa is a little small for me (6ft 6ins and morbidly obese!).
With regards to the application, it was very straight forward and you just have to upload your driving licence and proof of address. Within a working hour of application, I had an email from the team requesting a bank statement for extra ID and then within an hour of me sending it, I had been approved! You can chose your own delivery day and time window and you can even track your driver on the day!
The driver himself was INCREDIBLY helpful and such a nice guy. He made sure that I was 100% satisfied with the condition of the car - BRAND NEW by the way, which I was not expecting! He even refused a lift to the train station as he didn't want to put me out of my way! A great representative of BCA.
I didn't receive the charge card with the car as it said I would on the website but I've since spoken to Samantha and Dale at Elmo and they have been really helpful in sorting this out and have promised to reimburse any charging that I may need to do before card arrives.
The actual drive of the car is great too. I have driven electric previously when I worked in car sales a few years back so was knowing what to expect, however the little Corsa surpassed my expectations. Such a smooth and comfortable drive. As long as Elmo continues to exist as a company, I very much doubt that I will leave them or ever return to driving petrol/diesel cars!
I hope that my little review helps if you are thinking of joining the electric brigade! One other thing is that once I'd made the decision to go electric, I had a look at my local Vauxhall dealership as to whether a 4 year PCP would be better value and it is not! With a £1000 deposit (not needed with Elmo), the payments were still about £300 a month and you have to then add insurance/servicing/breakdown etc and you don't have the flexibility that Elmo offers.
To surmise, great website and application experience, amazing service from everyone I've come across so far, incredibly simple process to change cars and a lovely new car to drive too!

After talking with the customer service team they did pull out all of the stops and got a car to me the day after the delivery date.
I was very pleased and they turned the situation around. They listened to why it was essential for me to have a vehicle.
The car was brand new. Immaculate. The gentleman who handed over the vehicle was extremely polite and methodical. He had a badge on which indicated he was ex raf . This explained his approach and throughness in handing over the car.
I would use this company again but they really do need to fulfill their promise regarding a delivery date as public transport is not accessible to everyone.
