I purchased a CVO Azar portrait mirrored glass flueness fire, after many discussions with Daniel, who I cannot recommend highly enough. He guided me through my decision from start to finish over whether to go with the Angel, Modena or Azar and sent many different stone facias at no cost. CVO fires provided excellent pre-sale guidance, speedy delivery and a well packaged A+ product that has been complimented by friends and family.

"Old gas fire to modern beautiful unit."

We purchased the Moderno fire after discovering that we had to replace our wall mounted gas fire with a flueless type due to the type of flue that we had. I have to say that we have not regretted the decision, it is beautiful to look at and heats the room really quickly. We had some reservations initially as it did not give off a lot of radiant heat but then realised we did not have to sit close to it to get the benefit, we could sit on the other side of the room and the heat came to us. The service we received form Spirit fires was superb and I have not reservations in recommending them.

I bought a Italkero gas fire with logs from Sean at CVO and had it installed today. I am very pleased with this fire which relaces one which had been in place for almost 50 years. I liked the pics of it in thebrochure Sean sent me but it looks so much better than the pics.
I had searched for a good number of years to find a replacement for it and this was the first time I had found anything like what I was looking for.
Sean's customer service was excellent from ordering to final delivery. I would strongly recommend Sean for advice if you are thinking of buying or replacing a gas fire and then buying from him!
Very satisfied with everything particularly during these challenging times.

"CVO Gas Fire"

It is very rare these days to receive outstanding customer service from start to finish. This is what I received when ordering a flueless gas fire from CVO. I dealt with Daniel Smith who could not have been more helpful in answering my technical questions and addressing any concerns. He always got back to me promptly, sent me pictures of similar fires in the showroom , stone samples re the surround, installation manuals etc. I genuinely felt that he wanted my project to look and work as well as it could. I also received great support on the technical side when questions came up during the fitting. Fire now on wall and looks amazing.

"Amazing wall mounted flueless gas fire"

Really well manufactuered fireplace by CVO I was extremely impressed with the quality of the build. The size of the flame was far better than any we had looked at. The whole process from sales to after care was bang on. The guys at CVO provided my installer with all the relecant information so that the job was done correct first time. I am now considering upgrading to one of thier 3 sided jobbies in another room, they are really that good!

"Bailey High Efficiency Inset"

Needing a new gas fire, I went onto Which and put in the dimensions of our living room. They have a tool which comes up with a recommended heat output – 3.6Kw for us. I did however very much like the look of the Bailey High Efficiency inset (heat output 1.9Kw) and the salesperson at CVO fire pointed out that other factors like insulation and other heat sources might make the 3.6 figure inaccurate. Other reviewers have been impressed by the amount of heat it gives out.
So I went ahead and ordered one. It was promised within 2 weeks and arrived within 1. A few days later it was fitted. Our fitter thought that the main virtues of the Bailey High Efficiency lay in its looks and not as a heat source. It does look great and my son absolutely adores it. As a sole heat source for a reasonably large sitting room however, it doesn’t quite cut the mustard. The ignition takes a bit of while to master – more modern fires have switches on the side – with the Bailey, you have to remove a metal bar and get down on all fours. It is advertised as costing 12p/hour to run (although that will obviously depend on your tariff). However the energy rating is F and, as our fitter pointed out, on the chart supplied, there is only one rating lower: G. Its efficiency probably compares well with older gas fires but maybe not so well with more modern ones. We are on a low tariff with Pure Planet and have a Smart Meter. Having just run this fire as the only gas appliance for an hour, it apparently costs just 5p – cheap indeed!
Overall, it looks great but if I had my time again, I would have bought a different fire with a higher output.
I have tried to leave this honest review on their website but it says that only logged in customers can leave reviews. There appears to be no way of registering or logging in. I phoned them and they said they would publish the review if I sent it to them. That was over a month ago – no sign yet!!
