"Overcharging users by nearly double!"
A few weeks ago I tried to call on a weekend about the pricing of the Ubitricity app and the fees from the lampost directed link. They we quoted as £0.24 from the app but then £0.44 when I used the pay link. This is a considerable increase per unit.
I eventually gave up trying to connect to an advisor after 15mins waiting on the street. Sent an email instead, got the ususal 'blah' sorry we're really busy nonsense. Was told to collate my overcharged fees and send them in. Fine, I've been busy and this is on my to do list, however, Ubitricity is still charging £0.44 for the three street chargers I have in the nearby street.
It's been a month. Sort it out and contact all those users that have been overcharged! Don't make it the users who have to claim it back. You have all the dates, times, fees and payment accounts of users who you have overcharged.

"Easy but expensive."
The QR code instructions were easy to follow and the device was easy to use. But it was disappointing to be charged 44p per KWH when Zapmap claims that it's 24p. At 6 miles to £1 it's a lot more expensive than petrol.

"I have 3 charge points in my street 2…"
I have 3 charge points in my street 2 of which are not working I’ve reported them broken back in August and they still haven’t been fixed! On this charge I had to drive round for an hour to find one available, just not good enough cars not charging parking in charging stations you need to talk to local council , I am disabled and need available chargers near my home not 2 miles away as your colleague told me that there was one available 🤦🏻♂️

"Best chargers for those without off street parking in SW18"
When they work, it’s the cheapest and easiest way to charge for those without off street parking.
I’m charging a BMW i4 and only have off street permit parking. I can charge from 10-80% overnight easily (5.30pm-7am) for less than £20.
Competitive rates (£0.37-£0.40/kWh in SW18 depending on payment method), 5kWh speeds - so good for overnight charges, and either QR code web payment or use of roaming app such as Octopus Electroverse, Ubitricity offers the best experience in London and in particular SW18 for those without off street parking.
The only complaints are: not enough chargers. As they are installed in lampposts, there are no reserved EV charging bays, so frequently you will find multiple streets all blocked by other cars.
It would be excellent if either more lampposts are retrofitted with chargers or some bays are reserved.
There are a number of lamppost chargers that always seem broken and have to be repaired after being reported. I have no idea why, but they either say they are occupied when they are not, or the LED status light is off and they appear completely dead. This feeds into the above as Sod’s Law is that the lampposts that are not blocked by ICE vehicles are the ones which are broken!!
Apple Pay on the QR code web app is very good and welcome including Amex payment option.
The main recommendation is increasing the density of chargers as more vehicles switch to EVs and there are no reserved bays. And also maintaining the LOWEST p/kWh rates which is cost PLUS from the wholesale electric rates. It’s not fair that those without off street parking have to pay over the odds to charge from mega expensive public chargers.

"The price has jumped double between…"
The price has jumped double between 4-7pm which is ridiculous. Fast chargers are priced for a reason so paying the 75p kw makes sense. @ the lamp post I was paying the peak rate @ 40p kw previously and even though it was expensive I managed but now it’s just too silly put the prices back to what it was if it stays like this your better off using a rapid charger

"They dont work with BMW i4"
Tried 6 different lamppost chargers each multiple times on separate occasions as really wanted it to work.
They failed to charge on every occasion!
Ubitricity telephone support could not give any meaningful advice, only repeat the connection process.
The car is brand new, even had it checked by BMW.
Their conclusion is that the handshake between the car and the lamppost was unsuccessful as the car deemed the lamppost charger incompatible.
Net result = massive waste of time & massive frustration
Submitting this on the slim hope that Ubitricity can provide a useful reply to resolve the issue.

"Waste of time!"
Literally a waste of time. Toured several in Liverpool today and every single one had none electric vehicles parked in front of them. Would not even try looking in the future.

"Never able to get on charge on their…"
Never able to get on charge on their lampposts despite having two on my road! Not because others are using it no! Because bays are not marked out for charging so everyone and anyone parks by the lamppost.
Honestly designated charging bays should have been the first thought!
Council are no help either

"Good density of lampposts in NW10"
Good density of lampposts with charging conveniently located at our destination. QR code on the lamppost makes the process quick and simple. It hardly takes longer than the time to connect the cable. Rates per kwh are reasonable.
