"Been using an Ubi point on a PAYG basis…"
Been using an Ubi point on a PAYG basis for about 5 months now. It is fiddly. Sometimes the QR code works and the charge point is activated through the website and some times it does not work. You have to remove the cable, wait a minute or two, and start the whole process again. The website at that point asks you to re-input your name, cc details and it works... Would be much better if users could set up an account for use through the website or better still use an app. Not that hard to implement in this day and age.

"London W2"
In my area , London W2, it’s difficult to find a charging point that works. Great idea but hopeless implementation. Despite numerous reports the company appears incapable of carrying out the necessary repairs.

"just crap"
so, the over charge you when you plug in and instead of refunding the unused money so that it's back in your bank account quickly they just let it sit in pending and make you wait a week and then get shirty when you challenge them.
They dont repair anything much either, i get a sense they're a bit of a bunch of cowboys

"Constant beeping through the night!"
A few charging stations on my street. For whatever reason they sometimes start beeping on and off, loud enough to hear into our home and continuing through the night. Need a way to escalate issues live, so their technicians can come sort it out.

"Wouldn’t connect …."
On a visit to London we planned our parking around Ubitricity chargers. Pleased to find a space next to one, scanned the code as instructed, connected up the car, entered payment details etc and sat watching the website whirring away and the amber light not turning green. Moved to another lamp post charger, same again. Tried 5 times in total and eventually gave up. Ho hum, that’s a stop at the services for 45 minutes on the way home. Won’t attempt to use again and won’t recommend. The EV charging networks really needs sorting out for it to be realistic for all to move to EV.

We have four lamppost chargers on my street - they all work and the cost is very reasonable. Shame the lower cost chargers have been out of stock for so long but PAYG is easy and still much cheaper than others (Source etc). Gives my Tesla around 30m/hr.

After having my post placed in my street it has been 12 months now since it crashed and has not worked since. My advice to anyone thinking about joining you should beware. Maybe SHELL will give me a better service.

"No account access!"
The charge point is reasonably accessible for which I am thankful. The problem? I use my own cable and the website will not allow you to set up an account unless you use THEIR cable. I am not going to spend £300 in order to have an account. The website randomly remembers my credit card and randomly asks that I re-enter all of the details again. If the company's goal is to volume usage (over selling cables), then the access process should be simplified and streamlined. All users should be able to set up an account. The cable is an accessory, not a primary feature. It seems like a simple fix that would stop me swearing at the company on the pavement every other time I use the service.
