"AVOID. WORST AGENCY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH."

I wish I could give 0 stars to Mainstay

This organisation is the WORST letting agency. They are impossible to get a hold of, and take months to do essential repairs. Customer service is non existent.

I was left with a leaking bedroom ceiling for 3 months!! I pay a lot of money for a flat falling into disrepair and they do not care.

They constantly LIE about contractors being on the way or organised when nothing is happening. It is infuriating. Trying to get repairs actioned is like a full time job. It took me 6 months of constant messages and phone calls to get a key fob sent out. Then they sent me one that doesn't work.

I know the housing market is difficult now, but please AVOID AT ALL COSTS. They also now trade under the Campions- be aware!!

"Update on my last review Mainstay made…"

Update on my last review Mainstay made excuses up not to pay back my deposit,even though I had handed the key back and Mainstay failed to attend the property to take the key back at the arranged times
Laura who works for Mainstay then tried to accuse me of not handing the key back despite me having written proof.
This is the worst letting agent I have ever had dealings with
Do not use these if I could give less than 1 I would

"ANSWER YOUR PHONE PLEASE"

I've been trying to contact Mainstay Lettings for some time as I have a property I would like to rent out, but they simply never answer their phone. Every time I phone, the phone is answered, there's one second of office noise, then the phone is slammed down. Literally every single time. They don't have any kind of voicemail or any way to leave a message.

They also never reply to emails.

God knows what a nightmare they must be to actually be a client of, how can you run a property management agency when you literally never answer your phone??

"The worst company I have ever dealt with in my life"

Luckily my apartment block is no longer being managed by the mainstay clowns (VERY polite description for them) We have had poor service from them for years and nothing ever gets resolved. If (big if) it does, it takes months of chasing and chasing. Shouldn't be allowed to trade. They take enough money. Shocking.

"Ignored my email and fined me"

I sent an email advising with the cost of living, fuel, food I needed 2 months to clear my ground rent. They have ignored us and slapped a £50.00 late payment charge.

In their Web they recon Customer service excellence. Well no far from it

"Truly terrible customer service"

Truly terrible customer service. I have emailed dozens of times, the phone number goes to a call center in South Africa. No one ever gets back to you. The customer service is non existent. Consistently fob you off. I have lost a house sale as a result so as you can imagine I am fuming and outraged that a company is able to function in this manner.

"First I knew of their takeover was a welcome email from their buyers"

I've written a review about them before this is just another thing to add to how shoddy they are...

Mainstay were bought out way back in 2020 by a company called First Port. I just had an email from First Port "updating" me on the take over. For context this is literally the first correspondence I've had regarding a Mainstay take over, they didn't think it was important to let me know via letter or email at this would happen.

This email I had today was utterly out of the blue and I was shocked I'd not been told before.

"No one knows what’s going on!"

No one knows what’s going on! Don’t attempt to order a replacement parking gate fob as they don’t seem to be able to send one and after a fair few lies saying it’s been despatched - it hasn’t! The most frustrating part is the staff do not call you back after saying they will to update you on progress. No access to allocated spaces due to Mainstay not being able to action their internal processes. Genuine lack of ‘genuine’ customer service.
