"Best applications for screenshots and screen capture"

These 2 applications by this company are among the best in their genre.

Snagit contains all that you need to create professional-looking screenshots with many tools for annotation, cropping, and editing that can help a lot.
I use it both for quick screenshot cropping to send with instant messages AND professional screenshots to send to my staff on how to do things with the computers.

Camtasia is also the best screen capture I've ever used, can create quick and professional-looking training videos, with also many tools for annotating and adding effects on videos, sounds, and mixing.

I own both these software, with their respective maintenance agreement to always have latest versions.

Their price is not low as some expect, but the ease of use makes them worth every penny.

The review system on this site lacked more stars for Value for Money! I don’t have much time to “figure it out” this software out of the box is built for those with a busy schedule, and the software figures it out. Is it perfect? Well, nothing is. But I’ll give it a 99% out of 100%. By far, the best software and the most economical price are offered. You get what you pay for, but sometimes you stumble across something that you didn’t pay enough for, yet it still blows other products out of the water. This is one of those products! I’ve used this product for years. It is the EASIEST/Self-started software that I’ve come across, and not sure there is a competitor in the business that offers what you offer with ease of use system-wise.

I oversee, some as CEO and some as only a board member, moving forward, never worrying about our competition as we were too busy obtaining market share to worry. As a C-Level executive, I’m the guy you might email once or twice, as I might have missed the point with the hundreds of emails each day. My job as a CEO boils down to making 2-3 good decisions each day. Doing that keeps the companies moving forward with swift execution that in our markets we operate in, excel at obtaining market share. Camtasia is an overpriced bug-riddled mess, do not purchase!
I made the mistake of buying this after coming across a few positive reviews online that pointed to this being a good starter package for anyone just starting out in video editing.

And sure enough if all you want it for is simple, record and edit functions it will likely perform as expected- but their are cheaper and more reliable products available for that purpose.

It's when you start getting into anything more advanced that the cracks really begin to show...

One or two bugs could be forgiven, but when the software seems to be actively working against you and you spend more time dealing with its many issues than actually editing your project you have to give-in and admit you just paid £270 for a glorified dumpster fire.

Some of the bugs that I've encountered whilst using consist of;
Deleting segments on the timeline that are overly complex that it doesn't understand.
Selecting random segments off-screen whilst editing so that moving or altering one part affects the rest without you knowing.
Using trimmed content consistently during transitions even after being repeatedly turned off.
The properties menu not responding frequently, with the only fix being a reboot.
Crashing to the desktop whenever it is overtaxed.
Anything over 20 mins of recorded footage running the risk of just disappearing without warning.

Whilst its features are basic and far below par for this gen. of editors;
The quality of sound on recordings is poor,
The level of transitions is limited,
Running anything more than three timelines together will cause it to stall and stutter,
And it provides very few ease-of-life features compared to most of its competitors.

In closing it does do a good job in rendering your projects once you have won the battle, but getting to that point is beyond a joke. And the quality of video it captures when it decides it wants to is also good, as long as you don't mind not having crystal clear sound. All in all stay clear and find something better
