"Not a slick operation"

Not a slick operation. I was with Selftrade for over 10 years before they were taken over by EQ. I think since the that since the take over service has gone down. Getting responses to emails is slow if you get a response at all. Not impressed.

This platform is easy to use and that is the most important feature for me. Paying funds in, buying and selling equities and OEICs is simple. The X-ray feature is useful to analyse performance. All done online 24/7.

Haven't had too much experience with the platform yet but it looks easy enough to use the online interface. It's also pretty easy to look up funds to invest in by various criteria. Direct links to outside research on the various funds might be helpful, but apart from that, nothing to fault.

I have had many different ridiculous run ins with eqi
Each has cost eqi several thousands recent one should have been settled in 24 hours for zero cost it was 30000 shares limit at 45 stock traded down at 42 took 5 weeks to admit there error mean while the stock had doubled costing eqi £12000 .Also find it difficult to participate in offers where I am shareholder had no problem with hargreaves who executed it this happened several times but you do not get a professional answer you just get a message from someone with little knowledge not there fault.though I do believe they have improved.as an ex professional member and senior partner ON LSE can see they need help particularly when you cannot speak to a pro dealer unlike hargreaves.but as I say they have improved.when will they get an aap???

This company have gone so far down hill they are unusable. They used to be ok, now they put kids at the sharp end who have no clue what they are doing, impossible to execute any trade of value. Impossible to speak to a dealer or manager and these kids, as green as you can get, are left holding the can. Absolutely hopeless, cost me many £0000's and I have companied to the FSA and moving my accounts elsewhere.

"Android app"

I've had no problems dealing and monitoring on Selftrade over the years and Eqi seems to be continuing this experience and I'd normally be happy to recommend it. My only beef is that the world (and competition) is rapidly becoming mobile-friendly as it acknowledges reduced desktop/laptop activity. As such, having an android (as well as Apple) app is pretty much a requirement for any service. Will an android app be available any time soon?

I buy and sell shares and trade with EQI, and before that Selftrade. I do not have an exstensive knowledge of business but enjoy the involvement and the
ups and downs of the finance world. I read about it and ponder and realise I could not make a living at it.During my several years of dealing I have found that my business has been carried out with professionalism as I would expect.
They keep me up to date with various offers via email which might be of use to me. Ihave no complaints. Kenneth Hewitt.

I've been a customer of EQi - originally '.comdirect' and then SelfTrade - for around 17 years. No complaints whatsoever.
