"The worst customer service in the …"
The worst customer service in the world! I like other have tried ringing them many time and each time left in a queue for over 50 mins with no answer. i have emailed them too and no response after 4 days. i am reporting them to the Finacial Ombudsman and FSA.

I have tried to contact this company on three occasions and each time have been left hanging for 30 minutes plus. their customer service is useless! I emailed them but no reply.I shall now close my account if I can get hold of them which seems too difficult.

Don't bother trying to call - you'll be there all day waiting
Don't bother trying to log in - assuming the website is even working you've then got a painful login process to go through
Don't bother asking them to apply common sense to simple queries because they don't have any
Will be interesting to see how fast I get some insincere apology and request to follow up via email with them. selftrade - why would I want to waste yet more of my time emailing you when the issues are clear and obvious to everyone here?

I've been with Selftrade since Comdirect days. Never has it been so bad.
Spent hours on hold and no response to secure messages. Phone line shut down early again last night - is there still snow there?
Unable to resolve login issue over the phone nor get confirmation that corporate action notices have been dealt with.
Clive E - don't believe them when they say your error hasn't been reported - I reported exactly that a couple of weeks ago in relation to Firefox (although it now seems to be resolved for me).
Actively looking at alternative brokers.

"Selftrade does not know about answering the phone!"
When I contacted Equiniti by e-mail the response was quick and helpful. Contacting Selftrade by phone was a disaster.No response after 45 minutes hanging on and the terrible automated answering message makes things even worse. Whoever chose that voice sound wants shooting!What is really so bad is there is no longer any customer service.Were it not for the e-mail response I would give a zero star review.

"I am locked out of my Selftrade …"
I am locked out of my Selftrade account. I tried to make contact by email and phone. Last week (w/c 11 December) their answering machine claimed that bad weather was interrupting their service. They are on the south coast, no bad weather that day! Could not get through. Thought I'd let them settle, so called yesterday and today. A 40 minute wait on the phone, to no avail, other attempts there's a message to say they could not help, 'but ring back after the markets close', but not after 7 or at weekends.
I want to sell some shareholdings but can't.
I have resorted to old fashioned mail. I'll be looking for an alternative as soon as I can extricate myself from them. I'm worried because I don't know if my funds are safe since I can't see them on their website. Next step, the regulator. Really not happy and won't recommend them.

"Account locked and cannot get through on telephone"
I locked myself out of my account on Saturday morning and given a number to ring on Monday. It's now Wednesday and no matter what time I call I'm still unable to get through because of a long queue of waiting calls
I have just received a call from a young lady named Hayley, who has unlocked my account.
Thank you Hayley, for sorting things out for me in a very friendly and professional manner.

"The service with selftrade just gets worse"
The service with selftrade just gets worse. Have tried phoning them a few times over the last few days and the lines have either been too busy or closed before their advertised closing hours. This evening they already have the "we're closed" recording on stating that their office hours are open until 1900h; it's only 1835h now. I originally signed up with selftrade because of no ongoing fees for just holding funds. These have now been introduced and it's no longer the cheapest for my situation. I'm going to move to another provider soon and would not recommend anyone uses them.

"Horrible"
Horrible, just horrible. The old Selftrade a few years back was a wonderful experience, then it got bought by Equiniti and it was downhill from there onwards. The latest website is designed for imbeciles and no doubt has been "crafted" to be accessible to all - unfortunately it makes life so much harder for the competent average person. So much white space. So much clicking. So much scrolling. So much wasted time. For gods sake, when we log in, we just want to be taken to a small concise list or table of our holdings, and a link to our mail and other things. Is it really that difficult?

Unfortunately had to give one star to place a review. Shockingly bad service, ineptitude at every turn and their new website is even slower and more painful to use than the old one. In these days of technological advancement Selftrade should by now be extinct and their IT director be sacked.
