"Regaining my freedom"

Ohhhh noooo who might have thought I would reach this milestone in 2022? It has been such a journey but Stepchange Charity has been by my side all the way. Soon I will be debt free and I vow never to get myself into such a situation again. If anyone thinks of borrowing I would urge them to be cautious and don't let yourself fall into a trap of debt. Just live within your means and if you have to borrow be responsible and know your limit never get carried away by having cash today and suffer with payments for the next 10 years. I am grateful to Stepchange for helping me get out of the mess I had put myself in!!

I can hardly believe it but I am one month away from paying the final instalment of my debt management plan. I started the plan in 2017, so it's been a long hard journey but, in the process, I have had to face my addictions and deal with them, eradicate them almost entirely. I am grateful to stepchange for their practical help and guidance and for now enabling me to have a life without being bludgeoned by debt. Debt can kill, it can kill one's morality and make one a shadow of what one could potentially be.
