"Great showroom good staff"
Great showroom good staff. I have driven Volvos for many years. Now my problem I rang every day for a week to speak to the service department. This week to book in to have cambelt changed phoned in morning left details no reply.
It's like trying to book a doctors appointment.

"All this garage thinks about is Money…"
All this garage thinks about is Money Money Money and the best way to extort it from customers, customer service is low on their priority list and seriously needs addressing!!!
I called 19/01/2023 @ Approx. 12:00 to ask for some technical advice, I needed to know what permanent 12v power supplies were available in my internal fuse box due to run my dash cam, I have purchased a brand new car but they no longer come with a hard copy manual which gives this information, the customer service advisor told me that she could not help as this was an answer for a technician and he would call me back once he had finished his lunch - call was never returned!
I called again 20/01/2023 @ Approx. 11:30 told the service operatives that i was still waiting for a call back, I was put through to the Service Manager Katie Cook, I again explained, i needed the information to fit my dash cam but straight away she said they are not allowed to provide that information for safety reasons, what would happen if I do any damage!!! At the most I would be pushing a fuse into one of the spare fuse terminals so I don’t get what damage I could do, Also bare in mind that a fuse board in a car is very much a customer engaging part of the car as this is where fuses are changed when blown!
Paul Rigby / Katie Cook did say though that I could take it to them to fit the Dash Cam, They wanted £219.16p labour, I think the Paul Rigby group should supply there staff with masks because that is day light robbery.
I called the consumer helpline and found out that under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 this information should have been freely given, I think as Katie Cook is acting as a Service Manager she could benefit from some extra training in this area, it is vitally important to he development.
I ended up calling another Volvo group, nothing associated with the Paul Rigby group and was given the information freely over the phone and the call only took 10 minutes, they did not try to make any money from me, they were polite and provide the relevant information - Paul Rigby Group / Katie Cook - That is where the meaning, good Customer Service came from, I had used Paul Rigby Stourbridge a few times and never felt they were very good, this confirmed it to me an I will never use the Paul Rigby cowboys anymore, I will go to where i got treated well and that understands good aftersales support
£219.16 for Paul Rigby to fit a Nextbase 522gw
I fitted it in less than 30 minutes and no wires can be seen, 45min to 1 hour maximum time required to fit this yourself if you’re a novice!!

"Expensive. terrible service."
Expensive, shocking service and wait times. "While you wait" takes forever. Probably because they book in other waiting customers at the same time and seem to have two mechanics in the whole place. Between the car and the dealer, volvo never again.

"Once they've got your money........."
This should have been a quite exciting experience for my wife and I - her first ever brand new car purchase....a high end Volvo XC60 with some racy extras, just shy of £50K - so what could go wrong?
The car is fabulous but the lazy and lackadaisical delivery service we received is what could, and did, go wrong.
The initial transaction was concluded on the phone with a provision that the existing aftermarket front and rear dash cams were to be removed from our trade-in car and re-fitted to our new Volvo - no problem we were told - and the work was scheduled to commence at a specific booking time of 11.30am on the day of collection.
On our slightly early arrival, we were shown to the refreshment area where we stayed...and stayed...and stayed... for well over 3 hours.(The cameras were originally purchased from and fitted by Halfords in 30 minutes). We were eventually told by our 'salesman' that our 'new' car was ready but now he didn't have time to show us how to operate the multitude of apps, controls and operating systems as he had another customer to deal with.
(I guess it's good to know you're a valued customer so 'thanks for that').
We were then handed the keys and told to 'call if you need anything'.
(So I guess it's 'thanks for that' again).
I realise our age is catching up and being 'tech savvy' is for grandkids but we even struggled to find out how to open the boot for my wheelchair.
My wife could now see my red mist descending so she wisely suggested that we just get in the car and leave as soon as possible.
Had I called 'if you need anything' as mentioned above, it would not have been pleasant.
A few questions for the dealership if they actually read this review...
1 - As previously stated, we were in your showroom for over 3 hours - so why weren't we shown around another of the displayed cars in the period we were waiting? - what was your saleman doing in the intervening time?
2 - We were told that 'time' had been specifically booked with the service department for the camera exchange. If that's the case, why were we looking at our 'old' trade-in car parked in your car park for well over an hour.
Three weeks on from the purchase, we love our new Volvo - it's fantastic!
But... we are still struggling to get to grips with the complexity of the vehicle so the 'exciting transaction' has turned somewhat sour.
We really are a very easy going couple who will only complain if we've genuinely got something complain about.
Sadly, the service we paid for and received was, frankly, appalling.
When all said and done, we understand that businesses are there to make money but it's also realistic for us to expect value for that money...once our cash was committed to Paul Rigby Erdington they weren't bothered.
We don't want to be fawned upon but we do want to be supplied with a service we've paid for.
Paul Rigby Erdington Volvo....You failed miserably.

"£1400 for a Service! One Very Scary Experience"
I am genuinely still in a state of shock a good week after putting my Volvo into a service with them. Wait for it... £1400!! £450 for the actual service and just under £900 for 2 tyres. I felt I was held to ransom when the lady rang and said we can't deliver your car back to you because the front tyres are illegal. No they weren't. They will have been close on the edge on one but having had my wheels done the week before they were checked and were ok for a few months easily. The lady had the cheek to say they were down to the wire which is absolute and TOTAL NONSENSE! It was a very tense phone call and I had no choice but to pay them. I was stuck at work with no one else in the building just me waiting for my car to come back! On inspection I could see that the method of putting on tyres had also damaged the rim on one of the wheels. The very one I had repaired only the week before! You just get this feeling everyone is trying to rip you off from every angle these days. The service cost was definitely way higher than normal as well. All in all I have decided never to buy a Volvo again and to directly tell at least 10 people my story. I have also just signed an order for an Audi Q7. No more Volvo's ever!

"I had my car (Volvo ) serviced at Paul…"
I had my car (Volvo ) serviced at Paul Rigby Stourbridge. The staff were very good at getting my car booked in without 10’days. I opted to wait while the car was serviced - this took an hour and half but my car was also washed so not bad. The showroom was comfortable and quiet with plenty of free refreshments.
The staff were courteous and helpful. Asking me if I had AdBlue before refilling etc. their service also includes 12 months free roadshows recovery, free windscreen repairs and tyre puncture repairs if they can be repaired. Which I though excellent value. I had checked with other local garages before booking and found the price to be in the same ballpark.
I will definitely take it there for next years service.

"Have called to speak to service dept on…"
Have called to speak to service dept on three separate occasions, and on each have been told service department to busy to take call, but promised a call back, which has never been forthcoming. Would have expected better service after spending so much money with them. Will now use a different dealer and service centre.

"Con men and a rip off, stir clear!!!"
Took my vehicle to the Stourbridge branch, for a recall (free) and according to them free included health check.....asked if they could look at the gearbox as I had some concerns. Came out with a £50 pound bill for a computer diagnostic I never asked for, or had I been asked permission to perform. Had to confirm myself if the recall had been sorted, and I have serious doubts. Haven't seen a breakdown of the health check they supposedly performed, and had no answer for the blessed gearbox. And yes, if I wanted to be told let's start with the transmission fluid, my husband already told me that much, in the same exact words, no need to pay you £50 to repeat it!!!
