I have been attending the Basildon clinic every other week for just over a year. Throughout my journey I have seen the same lady doctor who has been very knowledgeable and guiding me in the right direction for a continued weight loss, the tablets have worked for me. Jo and the reception ladies have also helped in my journey with hints and tips and ensuring my appointments are always booked.

Preeti Patel is a good lady with very good customer approach and she always make me motivated every week that I attend the clinic, very professional and helpful, I nearly stop the program I am on but she encouraged me to keep going that I am doing well, this boost my confidence.

I would like to say a big thank you to the girls in the basildon branch for giving me support and encouragement during my visits as sometimes even though you loose you never think it’s enough. I came away from there feeing good and ready for another week. They gave me magazines and booklets to take home and a lot of friendly advice. As I’m on the change programme and doing ok they were very knowledgeable on how I go on to book the next four months.

"The Slimming Clinic has been excellent…"

The Slimming Clinic has been excellent for me and my weight loss has been steady ,I am weighed every month and the Doctor has been encouraging and professional I’m almost at my target weight now and am very grateful. All the staff in reception are welcoming and friendly.

"Rushed"

Over all a good service the initial session is brilliant and the tablets work ,however the 5mins or less service and weigh in every two weeks seems very rushed and in personnel , but surely the follow up appointments are even more important , also these tablets can cause serious constipation and I found “buy laxatives ?” Not particularly helpful so if slightly longer apts where needed could be booked instead of this extremely rushed in weighed out system which in total took 4mins I think the whole experience would be much better overall .

From the reception the staff were very friendly, efficient and effective and the Doctor, That was the best doctor that has ever attended to me. Very professional, efficient, effective and attentive.

I've been going to the NSCC / Slimming clinic on and off for a while now. I've been in countless times to both the Basingstoke branch (when it existed) and Hounslow branch so feel I have a relatively good idea about their customer service.

The pills they give you DO HELP but apart from that I only ever had one doctor that gave any useful feedback apart from the obvious eat healthier and work out more DUH!?

The clinics very much give off a feel like they are temporary doctors (like agency doctor's) and you never know who your going to see. I sometimes even questioned if they were even qualified in any way (Slimming clinic will probably tell you otherwise) but some of the doctors I saw were so awful it did make me feel quite uneasy at times. They always just seemed like they didn't really want to be there and totally disengaged and uninterested.

My experience with head office / booking has always been very good, so on my last appointment I made sure I checked I had the doctor who gave me good advise. To give you a idea I've been seeing these doctors for about 3 years (gaps in between) and it was only last month I was lucky enough to have one who knew what he was talking about. I was assured it would be that doctor.

When I turned up..in true slimming clinic style..it of course wasn't the doctor I was expecting, but another stand in (one to add to the list I'd not met before) at the end of the session they encouraged me to order more but their prices had gone up to £100 a month. I said I'm okay to take it from here (as I had made the best progress in ages) they continued to push - and maybe I would of gone with it if they'd bothered to get me the right doctor.

What I'm trying to say is - this company is all about money. You go in, get pots of drugs and they send you on your way. Don't expect any health advise, other options or any professional feedback. Perhaps I had particularly bad clinics..Slimming clinic you really need to improve on your customer experience in these clinics!
