"Completely unethical booking situation"

Completely unethical booking situation. I requested a tour, submitted my CC info to hold the tour and tried to cancel it the following day. (My daughter broke her foot thus we couldn’t go). We were told the tour was not ‘confirmed’ but they still had to reach out to their local team prior to cancelling. The charge on credit card read pending. The intermediary company, Tour Radar, assured me that On the Go Travel would drop the pending charge. After a week or so, I got a generic email saying congratulations your tour has been booked. The full charge appeared on my credit card. I am livid. I am currently working with Tour Radar to drop the charge. Regardless of how this turns out, I will never ever travel with On the Go Travel.

Bad experience on Tour and a feeling of fobbed off on our return. We booked with On The Go Tours Africa after specifically requesting if they can accommodate meals for a Coeliac and 2 Vegetarians from our group of 5 travelers. We were provided with verbal and written confirmation that "Thank you so much for your email. Your group's dietary requirements are well noted thank you!
Should you need anything before you depart, please don't hesitate to contact us. "
On the second day of the tour the truck driver / guide advised me to find a supermarket to purchase my own food. During the course of the tour coeliac meals were very limited to non existent despite the assurance given prior to and after booking with On the Go.
On our return I raised the matter with them and received this response "Thank you for passing on feedback from your recent trip and for allowing us the opportunity to revert. We are sincerely sorry that you encountered some frustrations during your stay.

In terms of meals, we have noted that a member of our reservations team gave a definitive yes to your query of whether or not we might cater to specific dietary requirements, and for this we really must apologise as it directly contradicts our booking conditions.

We note:
Whilst every effort will be made by us to try and arrange your reasonable special requests, we cannot guarantee that they will be fulfilled.

A one-off mistake or mis understanding can happen but verbal confirmation with follow up as well as written confirmation from alternate team members is an issue.

Be very mindful as to other aspects of the tour such as no drinking water provided at some of the accommodation including ones you stay at for two night. We recommend that you purchase 5 litre water containers at the start of the tour and keep these replenished our driver / guide did not provide this detail.

We also raised a number of other issues including currency, OH&S, suggestions on Vehicle enhancements and matters pertaining to the Driver/Guide who was offering advice regarding medical matters.

"Good tours, patchy service "

I have toured with On The Go three times now. Overall I have found the tours and guides have been excellent. Hotels and transport are usually good. On my most recent tour I enjoyed my time overall but there was an unexpected change to the itinerary part way through. The change wasn’t ideal, but more importantly for me it proved difficult to get transparent information out of them and work out an alternative plan. We reached a compromise in the end but I wouldn’t travel with them again on this basis. They will likely reply to this review citing their Ts&Cs, which will tell you everything you need to know!

"Lack of empathy over cancelling tours"

I rang to confirm that I tour Magical Morocco was definitely guaranteed to go. I was verbally confirmed that YES it was going. I paid my deposit over the phone and received an email stating the Tour was GUARANTEED to go. So I booked my flights.

A few days later I received a phone call saying unfortunately the Magical Morocco tour was cancelled.
This was never conveyed to me in writing.

The caller suggested a shorter tour and to organise my own separate tour for the last 5 days.

I felt very little empathy from the travel agents for the inconvenience they had caused and this has left me feeling bitter about a Company I used to advise my friends to use.

On the upside, no reflection of On the Go Tour's Head office but the Imperial and Blue City's tour was quite good, shame about a couple of travellers who really didn't do their research about mobility needs. Aziz went above and beyond for these high maintenance travellers.

AND the additional bonus was I used the services of Berber Camps Tour's for my Sahara extension and they were exceptional - their communication was clear, reliable and timely. Your guide goes above and beyond.

On the Go Tour's loss was Berber Camps gain.

So caution _- A confirmed Guaranteed tour definitely does not mean anything and don't expect any empathy from the travel agents.

"Morocco Trip to Imperial Cities and…"

Morocco Trip to Imperial Cities and Chefchaouen

Our trip to Morocco was an incredible experience, filled with rich culture, vibrant cities, and stunning architecture. From the imperial cities to Chefchaouen’s blue streets, every destination was unique and captivating.

Aziz, our tour guide, was fantastic—always helpful and knowledgeable, making our journey smooth and enjoyable. Local guides, Hussain in Marrakech was also very helpful and helped organise Hamam bookings.

We loved the hike to the Atlas Mountains’ waterfall, though the long ride from Fez was tiring. The trip was well-organized, but an extra day in Marrakech would have been ideal. Our driver, Rıdwan, was excellent, ensuring a safe and comfortable journey.
This tour was a perfect mix of history, adventure, and cultural immersion. Highly recommended

This was an excellent and highly enjoyable tour, covering a lot of the cultural and scenic highlights of this welcoming and beautiful country. Our guide Aziz was fantastic- helpful, informative and sensitive to our needs. Driver Ridhwan drove faultlessly and we felt very safe.

"Imperial and Blue City Tour, Morroco"

Positives:
Excellent Guides: Aziz provided detailed cultural and historical insights, answered all questions thoroughly, and was passionate, professional, and approachable. He went above and beyond—helping with SIM cards, ATMs, restaurant recommendations, and adjusting plans for the group’s needs. Houssine, who guided us for the last two days, was equally friendly, professional, and helpful.

Well-Organized Support: fairly comfortable van, regular toilet breaks at fairly clean stops, drinking water always available in the van, and additional experiences arranged on request (e.g., hot air balloon ride, hammam). The accomodations were generally very good, particularly enjoyed staying in the Riads.

Skilled Driver: Ridhwan was highly skilled, navigating rough terrains safely and ensured a smooth journey


Suggestions for Improvement:

1. Less Travel, More Exploration: Four out of six days involved long van journeys (4–6+ hours), leaving little energy for sightseeing. Removing the High Atlas Mountains leg—mainly a long drive to a remote resort—could free up time for more exploration in Marrakech, which felt rushed.

2. Alternative Transport: Considering internal flights (e.g., Fez to Marrakech) could significantly cut down travel time and improve the experience.

Overall, the tour was well-organized, with dedicated guides and a skilled driver. A few itinerary adjustments could make it even better!

"Magical Morocco"

The Magical Morocco tour is definitely one to remember (for all the right reasons), it's amazing how much can be packed into 13 days with some savvy planning. Our guide, Omar, was incredibly knowledgeable and genuinely cared about making sure we got the most out of visiting his beautiful country, nothing was to much trouble and he was always there if we needed him. Our driver Ibrahim was excellent, always finding the smoothest bit of road to make the journey even more pleasant. This was our first time using On The Go and we will defiantly be using them again. Thanks Omar, you're an excellent ambassador to them!
