The plumber was friendly and listened to the type of extension to my garden tap that I wanted. Only a couple of days before phoning and the plumber visiting.

"Poor service from a tradesman who clearly didn’t want to work "

The staff I spoke to on the telephone were exceptionally friendly and professional. The locksmith who attended the job however was extremely rude. It was clear he had not read the job card as he did not ring ten minutes prior to arrival as requested and rather brashly explained ge would not touch the security rated front door even though the job stated that entry should be made through the u pvc patio doors. He then muttered went and got some tools and after 30 minutes and a lot of huffing and puffing drilled out the lock. He then took the key from the other side of the door and threw it across the patio even though it would be required for the other half of the patio doors. He did say he was glad it was his last day as a locksmith. In truth he alienated to be a man masquerading as a locksmith who really didn’t have a clue about what he was doing. His customer service skills are non existent and to be charged £250 for the pleasure is laughable. Would not recommend this company to my worst enemy which is a shame as the two people I spoke to on the phone were extremely professional.

"Excellent experience"

Excellent experience! Needed an electrician due to a faulty bathroom light. Really helpful customer service representative provided me quote over the phone and arranged a same day call out.

Petros, arrived in good time and quickly diagnosed the problem. He checked my electric supply to the bathroom fitting, double checked a recently fitted pull cord and then fitted a new LED light I supplied. He clearly explained the issue, fixed it and even cleaned up afterwards.

My bill was as quoted, with no surprises and the whole job was sorted the same day. Would definitely use again.

"The plumber arrived when we expected…"

The plumber arrived when we expected him to and was friendly and efficient. He unblocked our toilet and tested the pipework in under an hour.
We were very pleased and would recommend the company.

"Terrible experience from start to finish. I ended up paying double of the original quote for the same issue"

I had issues with door lock, even though it was working it usually takes a few seconds fiddling with the key before it actually locks.
After reading the reviews here I called Able Group to help fix issues. I gave full details of the lock and the issues and I was quoted two prices to service or replace the lock.
The engineer turned up, and he was a local locksmith subcontracted by Able Group not their own engineer (not sure if they have any). He was given a wrong brief and he thought he was fixing a different type of lock. He removed the lock on my door, but couldn't fix it. But when he put the lock back in, it won't work anymore, so he had to put in a temporary replacement and order a new lock.
Able Group charged me £102 for the call-out and the temporary lock installed, when I queried this I was told the engineer can remove the lock and I would be without any lock. Even though they actually made my lock worse I had to pay £102 to avoid not having any lock on the door.
I was called few days later that the part and would cost £174 to replace the lock, which means I had to pay almost double of what was quoted initially. I paid the deposit and and booked a second appointment. Waited all day and engineer didn't turn up, no call no apologies or nothing. I had to ring again to rearrange. Engineer finally came and replace the lock.
I still had to chase them a few to get the invoice emailed to me. To me it seems all everyone I dealt with cared about was taking a deposit payment. Noone cared about the services rendered.
My advice stay way from Able Group and find a local locksmith.
