Had problems with this company from the get go.
Firstly having ordered September 23 my furniture finally arrived in June 24. Only after writing a poor trustpilot review then.
Quality is poor and by July the Rattan on one the chairs had split open and others were splitting.
Company organised repair with partner company who advised that they hadn't sent enough rattan weave for him to make a proper repair. Advised I was not happy with repair and told he would report this back. Nothing heard since.
Due to the poor weather I decided to use the furniture cover provided with my product.
Its enormous and the furniture is wet underneath cover so believe it must be leaking therefore today I called customer unhelpful (services) and notified them of the above. Apparently they don't make a proper sized cover for a 6 seater table and chairs. You have to accept the enormous one that must fit at least 8 - 10 + chairs and table.
After only a couple of weeks this cover is not covered in green slime where it has been dragging on the floor.
I would advise anyone considering this company to think again. The stress of actually finally receiving your furniture, then the quality followed by the unhelpful customer services is not something I would wish on anyone.
Plenty of platitudes but no action!!

"I ordered on 23rd sept"
I ordered on 23rd sept. Got told on order delivery 7th Oct.. 6th October two texts to confirm next dat. Stayed in all day on Monday, rang mid afternoon to see what time I would get delivery. Told no deliveries due to stock take…nobody informed me! Got told they would ring me Thursday 10th with a view to delivery on the 11th. Put in a complaint due to lack of communication, Got a call on the 8th saying the same thing. Wednesday I get a generic message saying no deliveries this week? Which I already know for the Monday, but not the possibility of a Friday (furniture required for a family event on 12th). Phoned again for clarification as this text had non…told sorry still stock taking, but would ring me on Thursday 11th again to sort out delivery. Today 11th not one phone call yesterday..yet another empty promise. Rang them again…told them to let me know when it will be delivered, said she would call me next week on 17th. Told not good enough now awaiting a call between 4.00 and 4.30, which either won’t happen, or I will get fibbed off again. Terrible communication with customers.

"Complete nightmare."
Complete nightmare.
Ordered goods in August that were ‘In Stick’ with delivery of 9th September.
Then advised Not In Stock and would be end of September with delivery on 4th October
Then advised no delivery until March!!
Refund requested 5-7 business days — No money received
Now told another week for my money.
How many people are they doing this to ??

"Let down badly, again"
Further to my review dated 4th October 2024, pertaining to the non delivery of my Florida Bistro Set, Rattan Direct have let me down badly again. They promised to email me yesterday to notify me of a revised delivery date but failed to do so. They did however, post a reply to my aforementioned review. They stated that the delay was due to an unforeseen issue with their stocktaking process, but they recognised that this should NOT have impacted the delivery of my order. Then today, I received a text message from Rattan Direct stating that due to an unexpected delay during our warehouse’s annual stocktaking, they could not deliver my order on the scheduled date (that was 4th October). This statement is a direct contradiction to their Trust Pilot reply as outlined above (should NOT have impacted delivery). It was hardly unexpected either if they’ve closed their warehouse. My husband therefore telephoned Rattan Direct earlier this morning to try and get to the bottom of the delay issue. The representative initially reiterated that the delay was due to a stock-taking issue but eventually admitted that they are not making deliveries because their warehouse is closed during the stocking-taking process. Why therefore make ambiguous disingenuous excuses when they knew full well the real reason the delivery wasn’t made. My husband asked to speak to a Manager but unsurprisingly no one was available as they were apparently in a meeting! We are due to go on holiday next week which I have informed Rattan Direct of twice so it remains to be seen whether they expedite this matter beforehand or their Manager telephones me as promised by their representative this morning. An extremely unhappy and dissatisfied customer.

"Ratten covers perished - no alternatives offered or replacements available "
We bought ratten furniture with covers back in 2022, and the covers have already perished. I’ve tried to order new covers which they said would be back in stock on the 7th October, only to be informed today they won’t be back in stock until March. No alternative has been offered. So now my furniture will ruin as well over the winter. I would be careful ordering as quality and stock management seems to be an issue here.

Simple to order the rattan funiture, with fast free delivery. The furniture is of good quality and easy to erect, it look fabulous in my garden.

"Poor quality & service "
I purchased an extra mid section to the Florida corner set in 2021. This year that mid section unit disintegrated. The other 6 units in the set, purchased at the same time, & which have been maintained exactly the same way, are all in perfect condition.
When I asked for a replacement, I was told the 7 year guarantee did not apply as the weave was subject to deterioration by being exposed to sun! & the guarantee for the weave is only 2 years.
Current cost of a replacement unit is £449, and I have been offered to purchase at a discounted price of £300. I had expected my investment to last more than 3 years. I was not expecting to have to pay an extra £300 to replace what I have clearly proved is a substandard product to enjoy my full suite.
Very poor service & mis-marketing of a guarantee.
By way of update, I received an immediate reply to my review from Rattan via Maureen saying they would look into a better price for a replacement & would be in touch. It is now 17th September (week later) & I have heard nothing.
