Reason for not giving 5 stars was delivery. I was offered a delivery date,l which I accepted. No communication to confirm that date was not going to be met. Once I contacted them customer service reacted straight away which was good

"Good product but initial delivery missed "

The quality of the product appears really good, I have checked it but not constructed it due to inclement weather. The only issue was the original delivery date was 08/01/25 and I stayed in waiting for my product that didn’t arrive and no communication was received. The following day numerous emails were received informing me of a delay and my rearranged delivery for which the communication by email and phone was very good.

We have always found Customer Services and the Sales team very helpful. The products are good value for money and great quality.

The whole process was stress free and dealt with in a friendly and efficient manner.

"Delivery mix up but very happy"

Would have been 5 stars as we are very pleased with the garden furniture we received - substantially better quality than the one it replaced from The Range following return and a refund as it failed after 2 years! However, the first delivery date was cancelled 24 hours before so I called to arrange an alternative. Having made arrangements for the delivery, it turned up 3 days earlier than planned - not a huge issue as it was the weekend and we did get a text to confirm it was coming. Had this been a week day, this would not have been possible. Delivery drivers were a joy, unpacked on site for us to check and even took the rubbish away. Hopefully this lasts longer than the one from The Range, but with a 7 year guarantee, we are hopefull.

"Taken a lot of money and no goods to deliver"

From the outset, please don’t use this company. I’m struggling to work out if it’s out and out fraud or just pure incompetence.

Last week, my mother in law wanted to order some garden furniture. The garden has just been renovated and she wanted some furniture to sit outside through the winter.

She found what she was looking for and ordered it through the Rattan Direct website. The purchase side of the website didn’t seem to work and within minutes, a sales rep called to say the payment on the website was not working and could do it over the phone. He was quite persuasive but it was a massive red flag and we weren’t happy to proceed. He then offered a discount but we still declined. We double checked the site and it’s security and it was the genuine site.

Without our knowledge, he called my mother-in-law back 24 hours later, and persuaded her to order the set over the phone. She received 3 separate emails from Rattan Direct but all with differing payment amounts to what has been taken from the bank account. She did receive a confirmation email and reference number but was then told delivery wouldn’t be until February. Had this ever been divulged, the order would never have been placed.

My wife called back to cancel the order and was told that someone would call back to deal within 3 hours. We have not had any response from Rattan Direct at all. They are very quick to call to gain a sale but won’t call back to cancel the order.

We wanted to deal with this directly but have had no correspondence from Rattan Direct and have been forced to now deal through the bank.

Unfortunately due to stock taking at Rattan Direct, we had to reschedule our chosen delivery dates on 2 successive occasions which we did not anticipate. However on the delivery date, everything went very smoothly and the furniture set was all in almost perfect order. There was one foot screw missing, and after contacting Rattan Direct I was promised spares to be sent in the post.

"Great furniture at a bargain price "

I was kept up to date on delivery. When the furniture arrived it looked great. All items came with covers which I hadn’t expected. Delivery was within 15 minutes of the time I had been told. And it was a bargain!

"Buyer Beware - Quality issues"

What an awful company! Ordered an Ascot three seater sofa in 2023 which arrived months late, an experience many others have also reported. Ordered the same sofa in 2024 to match the existing sofa - this also took months to arrive and is noticeably smaller even though they are the same model. Then the supplied "free" outdoor cover has started to fail after 5 months. It has a 1 year guarantee so reported it and was advised it had not been "fitted" correctly!!

The website allows orders to be taken and delivery dates chosen - they just do not fulfil them and do make any contact to advise that the order is delayed by several months.

Making a sofa smaller so it is less comfortable to sit on - not sure who would feedback that as a positive!

The cover is an retangular cover to cover a retangular sofa. No instructions are supplied for fitting and there is nothing to snag on unless the the cover is incorrectly designed for the sofa. My conculsion is the cover is not fit for the purpose as an outdoor cover! Rattan Direct have offered to sell me a new cover but no stock until 2025 and why would you buy another outdoor cover from them when the current cover is failing!

"4seater patio set"

Purchased 4 seater dining set online. Site easy to navigate and place order. I was appropriately updated with delivery information, and furniture arrived well packaged and in perfect condition. Looks as advertised and very comfortable. Delighted with purchase, our 4th from this company over the years.
Now packed away under supplied protective cover waiting for next year's sunny days.
Would recommend.
