"Terrible terrible company"

I ordered and paid nearly £2000 for my furniture at the beginning of January. The delivery date was today. No delivery and zero communication from the company - absolutely disgraceful. I am now going to have to see if my credit card company will refund the money - after Rattan Direct have had the money in their bank account for nearly 2 months.

"Scam"

Scam. Heavy sales and check out discounts.
Then in small print at very end a delivery date in 3 months.
They have no stock, take money and deliver 4 months later.
Take money before buying stock, that’s the business model
More: customer service and sales confirmed. They wait for most products to get to a certain order volume, then talk to their suppliers. So better buy the year before.
Bought a whole set for 1.8k 2 years ago and waited 4 months instead of 2 weeks. Spring and half of summer was over

"I ordered a furniture set in December…"

I ordered a furniture set in December 2024 for delivery in february I have just contacted customer care to be told that it will only arrive in May...I find this unacceptable never once have I had any communication from them and all they can say is sorry. Very poor show I will never order from them again as this is my 2nd purchase and there is always some excuse.

"Zero communication on a 3-month delay"

I ordered £2.7k of garden furniture in September 2024 and had a delivery date of February 2025 given. Other than spam emails highlighting new sales I received no further communication from them. Upon chasing in February for an update on the delivery date I was told most of my items weren’t in stock (free scatter cushions and 3 corner tables are ok to ship) and I will now have to wait until May 19th for an update on delivery.

I’m really not happy with the lack of communication from customer services to advise I need to wait 3 more months after already waiting 5. Lesson learned and IF I ever ordered anything from Rattan Direct again I’ll be chasing them for updates every couple of weeks.

Delivery of garden furniture was within a week of purchase and ahead of the estimated delivery date. Although delivery charge was higher than I expected at the start of the buying process I was fully aware of the charge before confirming the purchase. The discounted sale price and discount voucher more than made up for the higher than expected delivery charge. The furniture (sofa plus 2 armchairs) were possibly the best packed items I have purchased online. Haven't had the chance to use the items yet but if quality matches the look then this was a fantastic purchase.
