"The 1st 2 good ratings are company employees"
The first two high star ratings are pictures of people that are now pictured In what they call their support team. Which is so horrible! For 15 days they would just reply from a different support person which currently there are three of and say they were working on it. I would not recommend this product to anyone if you ever run into issues and you will you cannot get help. I say this after experiencing two years from a great company that was sold and now treats their customer with the greatest disrespect I have ever received from a company. I hope this helps someone not go through what I am going through with them.

"Excellent product and customer support"
The ordering process was easy and despatch was quick and secure. I bought the abode iota as it was advertised as being compatible with the Apple HomeKit I’m sure it is easy to install but as a complete technophobe I messed up and had to use their online chat (human) to talk me through what to do as I needed the activation key reset which I couldn’t do myself.
I couldn’t have asked for anyone more patient and helpful than the person that supported me and waited online to make sure that everything worked. I was even able to send through pictures of my door frame for advice on how best to position my door motion sensor.
The kit works as advertised seamlessly with my HomeKit. I also purchased the key fob so that I can activate the alarm without using my phone. The camera produces excellent picture quality. The alarm could be a little louder as it’s in a front room in an end of terrace house & I’m not sure my neighbours will hear it if it goes off as it’s located on the other side of the house, but at 93dbs it is loud. I haven’t set up the automations yet but I’ve no doubt they will work well too.
Best of all I was able to get this up and running without having to ask my adult children for help.

"Security and Reliability"
I've been an Abode customer for a few months now. During this time, I have come to value the reliability of the system, especially when I travel and have the ability to use the cameras to check in on my pets. I also love the notifications that I receive when motion is detected and the ability to view the stream real-time if needed. Setting up the system was also easy and took me less than an hour for everything. Afterwards, I integrated it with Alexa which makes controlling the system easy through voice commands. Overall, very happy and glad I chose Abode!

"8 Cameras didn't last 6 months"
Abode Cam 2 cameras are a waste of money. I bought 8 Cam 2 cameras for watching my mom's house, 3 interior and 5 exterior. She's 91 years old and lives 1000 miles away from me. Last year, I drove from Florida to Virginia, setup and installed the cameras, and got the Pro subscription. After about a week, the cameras started to go offline randomly. At first when they were power cycled they came back on. After about a month, they would not. In 6 months, all 8 cameras had failed and would not come back on when power cycled. My mom is not tech savvy enough to factory reset and setup the cameras again. Other devices, such as Amazon echo devices never had a problem. Wifi signal is strong. I have now replaced all abode cameras with Blink cameras and haven't had a problem since. The abode cameras are in a junk box.

The system is ok But the cameras DO NOT connect to Homekit only the accessories are compatible with apple :(((((((

"I'm a legacy customer. I miss Chris Carney. All has gone Downhill."
I am a legacy customer. I've had Abode at my home since 2017 and remember when they were a crowdfunded startup. Back in the day, Chris Carney would write with honest info about tech issues. I stuck with them all these years because I liked his honesty and vision.
That vibe is pretty much gone now and you can no longer call for tech support and get someone on the phone from Palo Alto. Now, it's all through email/chat with a guy named Frank who doesn't read your emails, he only skims them and any correspondence about tech problems will take literally WEEKS to resolve, if they ever get resolved at all.
Frank Medy is so terrible (or so overloaded) by being the tech support (unless that's a false name and all of their tech people publish under that one name -- which might actually be the case!)... Frank is so terrible that he doesn't remember what you wrote from email to email and mostly copies and pastes his responses so your tech support conversations become an endless loop from hell trying to get even just a simple think accomplished.
Example: you can take your valuable time to lay out your issues and explain exactly what the problem is and Frank will respond with a cut/paste job that completely ignores your description of what is and is not going on with your system so that you then have to explain AGAIN that you already ruled that thing he's asking you to do out or you already tried that solution.
I just referred a neighbor to Abode and regret it because, when it comes to your security, you can't wait TWO WEEKS for them to provide a proper response and it's insulting to get lazy Frank's copy/paste responses over and over.
I'm wondering if "Frank" even exists and perhaps they are using AI and "Frank" is just an automated response. I'm in a current coversation with "Frank" for two weeks now over a broken piece of equipment and I want to slit my wrists in frustration.
IT SHOULDN'T BE SO HARD TO PROVIDE DECENT CUSTOMER SERVICE.
This place used to be much, much better and I miss the days of Chris Carney.

"Nothing has worked for me"
Nothing had worked for me. It’s all useless. The cameras never stay connected, the front door camera will not upgrade, online but black image. I have nothing set up to give alerts but paid for Pro plan? I see in an old email you were supposed to send me a sim to activate? Never received. Not even the sign works to pretend I have security. Came missing one piece! Total complete waste of money so far, high aggravation cost too!

the integrations are not as vast as they claim and the there is no low battery indicator for the motion sensors on the app even though they a 3 x more expensive than other models
