"Rapid 1 - way to go! DX - where did it go?!"

Bought 8 units of 8 ft wide Rapid 1 Heavy Duty shelving in multiple orders over the past 3 months. Fitting out a dream home workshop. Various front to back sizes, chipboard/ melamine/ steel shelves. Thought Rapid 1 might be OTT but as I fill the shelves with heavy engine parts I am happier and happier with my choice. Would not want anything else.

When assembling, keep an eye on squareness of end frames or you will get a lean into or away from wall. Easier to correct at an early stage. Beware one end of a L to R Channel jumping out as you hammer the other end. Don't have body parts beneath! Best done with two. Expect sharp burrs where members join. Easily removed.

Now to the DX deliveries. A rocky road but Rapid Racking have been both communicative and honourable. First delivery never occurred, presumed lost after leaving Kemble! Replaced without question - and bigger front to back at same price. Further deliveries were a bit too variable. One curtain-sider had no tail lift but DX driver helped unload. Damage would have occurred had I not been able to help. Other deliveries often had some degree of transit damage but with careful placement of parts I was mostly able to hide it. Last but one delivery had damage bad enough that Rapid Racking gave a partial refund. I should have rejected it but didn't want the delay and another rough pallet truck doing doughnuts on my new epoxy floor.

In sum, a great shelving product and top 'client care' by Nathan and others. Despite DX's somewhat wild ride, I am still ordering from Rapid Racking.

The ordering process was simple but the delivery process was fraught with poor communication and delays. We haven't been able to erect the shelves yet, as a result wecan't rate them.

The items received were damaged due to pallet size being half the size of the product.
