"Avoid like the plague "

V12 - Don't bother replying telling me to contact your review team as my complaint is already being looked at. I'm still awaiting a response to the email I sent 3 days ago. Have included below. Sold a vehicle with a dodgy MOT, and when my mechanic found the issues, their argument is that nothing showed on the MOT that V12 themselves carried out, that's weird isn't it. Almost like they have hidden issues to save money. They were acting all casual saying it's all okay because my warranty will cover some of the repairs. I think they forget consumers have legal rights, warranty or not.

Dear Sir or Madam,

I want to clarify that the issues I’ve raised are not a matter of warranty coverage. I was sold a vehicle with existing faults, and under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, I am legally entitled to have these issues rectified—or alternatively, to reject the vehicle entirely, as the issues were raised within the first 30 days of owning the vehicle. This obligation would remain even if I hadn’t taken out the extended warranty, so this is not a favour on your part but a legal requirement.

I purchased the vehicle on 1st March, and reported the initial issues on 18th March, and then again a few days later. At the time of purchase, the mileage was 53,150. As of 16th April, it stands at 53,833, meaning I have driven 683 miles in 39 days—an average of just 17.5 miles per day. Based on this, when I first reported the problems 21 days ago, I had owned the car for only 18 days and driven approximately 315 miles. So let's be realistic here: these issues were clearly present when the car was sold.

Furthermore, the MOT carried out by V12 Sports & Classics at Willeyfields Farm on 22nd January is highly questionable. These issues should have been flagged, raising serious concerns about the legitimacy of that MOT and the AA inspection. This could be considered evidence of negligence or potential malpractice. These faults not only compromise vehicle safety, but also suggest that the vehicle may have been misrepresented at the point of sale.

My hope was to resolve these issues amicably and without escalation. Had all faults been addressed, I would have considered the matter closed.

However, I am not willing to cover the cost of the brakes, nor should I be expected to. If necessary, I am prepared to escalate this to Trading Standards and raise formal complaints about both the branch and the garage involved.

Kind regards,

Replying to message left by V12. Do you actually read anything? You leave a generic reply on here to make it look like you're proactive, but I have contacted the aftersales team multiple times and nothing is being done. It has been escalated to a manager, Oliver, he's useless. Done even less than the other staff at V12. I will be reaching out to Farhad Tailor and the other directors if this isn't sorted today! Will also be spending my weekend outside the Hinckley branch advising customers of my experience if it isn't sorted immediately.

"I bought a BMW Series 1 (2020) last…"

I bought a BMW Series 1 (2020) last year, and I’ve had a really bad experience with it. The day after I got the car, I noticed that the instrument cluster wasn’t working. There’s a button called “BC” on the lever that changes the options on the display, but it wasn’t functioning.

I tried to contact the dealership multiple times, but got no response. When I attempted to use the warranty, they told me it wouldn’t cover the issue. Fair enough—I went to BMW for a diagnostic, and it turned out there were more electrical issues that needed fixing. The total cost to repair everything was £700. Since it wasn’t something critical for driving, I decided not to fix it at the time because I didn’t want to spend that money.

After about two months of using the car (just for commuting, no accidents or heavy use), the passenger door started failing to open. Now, it doesn’t open at all. I took it to a garage for the repair and an MOT, but I have no idea how much it’s going to cost—though I’m sure it won’t be cheap.

On top of that, they made me buy a set of low-quality floor mats for £250 because the car didn’t come with any. I know I agreed to buy them, but it felt like they tricked me into it. They also sold me paint protection for £300. To be fair, the protection wasn’t terrible—I noticed a difference—but later I found out I could have gotten the same thing for much cheaper.

My advice: think twice before buying a car from this place unless you want headaches and unexpected expenses afterward.

Absolutely Awful experience from start to finish. Don't trust any car you buy from these! Had a car for 1 day and it broke down and I was unable to drive it for 3 weeks had it diagnosed it needed 2k spending on it. Impossible to speak to anyone and although I do now have a full refund it wasn't without it's problems and arguments. Nightmare company

From walking through the door with no appointment everything was still straight forward .
I was greeted by Olivier whose manarism was impeccable and sorted the vehicle and sale swiftly .
Following that I was dealt with by Mia for the handover which was painless and she carried it out in a professional manner.

"Do not buy from V12 do your research of this company Appalling after sales sold a complete…"

Appalling after sales sold a complete knacker of a jaguar and V12 are ignoring my requests of a refund, they agreed to fix any issues with the vehicle and then ignore all requests to authorise a repair, ignore all requests of a refund which under the consumer rights act I am entitled to, highly recommend you do not buy a vehicle from them and check out the V12 reviews group on Facebook, wished I'd seen this group before even walking on their forecourt, they need to be stopped trading!!!
