I made a telephone call to travel up 10 minutes after paying for my flight due to not receiving a booking confirmation via email. I was transferred to Colin Richard Admin Officer who advised that it had been sent but that there were extra letters by my first name I advised that I had noticed the error and had deleted the incorrect information prior to proceeded with the payment. I then requested for Colin to provide me with my booking confirmation, he declined and told me that I had two options available, option 1 was to cancel the booking with a charge £100 GBP or option 2 was to amend my name on the booking with a charge of £176GBP and both had to be done before 4pm UK time. I disputed this due calling within 10 minutes and believe that could be changed without charge, Colin said that the airline had already processed and confirmed my booking so this was not possible to do without the payment of £176GBP .Due not being able to be resolved conversation, I requested to be transferred to a manager however Colin refused to do so and said that he was the supervisor. I found Richard very unhelpful and unprofessional. I felt as if I was being put under pressure by Colin I proceeded to confirm the name change via email and was sent a link to make payment. Moving forward Colin said that he would send the booking confirmation number via email within 45 minutes and the call was ended without him providing me with the confirmation reference number which I am sure he could have done as he had access to a computer but chose to carry on being petty and unprofessional. Over an hour had passed so I called back and asked to speak with Colin, I was put on hold for several minutes only to be told that Colin was now unavailable by a gentleman called Brian and that I would have to wait another 2 hours before my confirmation reference number to arrive, which clearly shows that the airline ticket was not in fact issued yet. I asked Brian to give me my confirmation reference number and he was able to give it t me without an issue. He also gave me the name of the manager and said that could send my complaint via email.
I have sent a formal complaint email for the attention of the Manager Gary Smith and I am awaiting a reply.
