The best thing is the price and this wasn’t at the cost of quality! The door and frame are hardwood and a bespoke size. I couldn’t get even close to the price elsewhere. Delivery took a while but the explanation that the leaded double glazed panels could not be started until the door was made satisfied me. Communication was great throughout as was the technical help. Being able to buy everything including the door furniture, frame, seals etc together was very helpful too. Delivery arrangements were precise and the door was delivered accordingly. The door looks fabulous. Very happy.

I ordered a pair of External (Burdock Double glazed) Hemlock Doors and paid in full £1265.84 in April 2024. Be aware Doordeals do not take deposits and their T&C’s state they do not refund monies of bespoke purchases, even when they arrive damaged and with a manufactures defect.
When the doors arrived on the 5th of September they were not wrapped / protected. Both of the doors would have needed a considerable amount of work to get an acceptable condition for decorating, but one door arrived with damage to its top rail and a manufacturing defect to the top corner as the mortice and tenon joint was incomplete with the tenon part of the joint not extending to the full width of the stile and what you could see of the tenon part of the joint was blacked / burnt and unmachined.
On seeing this I phoned Doordeals confirming the problem, with Doordeals insisting that the doors were returned with my response, reimburse my monies.
On the 6th of September Doordeals wrote; The doors are due back to our depot at some point today. We are happy to take a look at them to see if anything can be done to rectify them or see if the manufacturer could speed up a process on a replacement, or would you still prefer a re imbursment?
On the 9th of September I wrote; By now you will have had the opportunity of seeing for yourself the damage and poor quality of the doors as delivered to my home on the 5th of September. I have given the doors considerable thought over the weekend and have come to the conclusion I am not prepared to accept them as they are damaged and are of poor quality, not being complete, in that at least one of the joints to the top rail is substantially in-complete, the tongue of the joint not extending to the outer edge of the stile with the end of the tongue being set back in the stile identifying unfinished blackened wood. As previously stated the doors were delivered unwrapped and un-protected. The double-glazed doors were purchased to improve the insulation of our hallway also improving the aesthetics of the hallway. The poor quality of the supplied doors will not achieve this.
Additionally, having read some of the accounts in your customer reviews where quality control is an obvious outstanding problem. I stand with my previous statement; Please confirm when you will reimburse me.
On the 10th of September their response was I have passed your feedback onto our Warehouse staff to pass onto the manufacturer.
On the 3rd of October, Doordeals responded. It appears that the refund has been held for further checks due to the item on the order being a bespoke item, as mentioned in previous communication on 29th May 2024. Since the order features items that are not listed on our website and specifically made to your custom requirements, unfortunately these items are not refundable.
We approached our credit card company who confirmed Doordeals had responded saying they had not been given the opportunity to put problem right and that the door had only superficial damage that could have been easily repaired, this written statement being untrue.
Following correspondence from our credit card company we are advised to contact Doordeals again asking them to review the situation and resolve the issue.
Our tracked letter was sent on the 15th of January 2025. Royal mail confirming; Your item was delivered on 16-01-2025.

To date. 17th February 2025 Doordeals have not responded accordingly.
Buyer be very very aware of this company, don’t make the same mistake as I did.

Below is Doordeals reply. It is misleading, some of it untrue. My response is. Unbelievable you take months not weeks to deliver, unprotected, damaged, and defective and unfit for purpose doors, offer a refund and a month later retract your offer.
Why would I want doors that have a manufacturers defect that your offering to paint over
In conclusion I write: Enough is enough
As previously stated. Buyer be very very cautious of this company. Read there one star reviews.
