look elsewhere. a bad website description led to me purchasing the wrong product. surely mentioning that a strip light was UV is a pretty important thing to omit. they agreed to accept the product back for a refund, but given the mistake was theirs, paying the £30 courier service for a 5ft strip light seemed unreasonable. CS via phone was no better - rep didn't know who/what was going on, couldn't follow what the problem was until i promised to put it in an email to him...to which he's not replying.

Products accurately and fully described so I was able to buy just what I needed. Which was an obscure discontinued line, so a good result.
Delivery was slow though.

Made a purchase on line, the box the lamp arrived on was slightly squashed and when I screwed in the lamp it didn’t work. Have made 2 attempts to contact this company for either a replacement or refund and received no reply or acknowledgment.

"Fantastic customer service"
I was looking for some replacement fluorescent tube bulbs for my elderly mother's kitchen light and came across General Lamps online. I do not live locally to Mum so I needed a reliable source of bulbs who could deliver to her direct. The bulbs she required were out of stock but the advice was to ring them direct which I did and they very helpfully advised of a suitable alternative option which was available immediately. They also very kindly helped with sorting out delivery and went above and beyond to get the bulbs to Mum direct. Mum was really appreciative of their help, particularly with the delivery side and I am really grateful for their kindness and willingness to get these to Mum. Thanks so much for your help.
