"Mislead and lack of communication throughout"

1) Did not tell me at time of purchase my bulbs were not in stock. When I chased a week later via email I received an automated 'order being processed' response.
2) After nearly 2 weeks and further chasing, hoorah I received a human response to my persistent emails. It suggested a different shade of bulb that was in stock - I agreed (annoyed at not being offered right from the start).
3) 3 days later delivery failed, I'm blissfully unaware it had even been attempted (no card, no info, no call).
4) Ringing the store to ascertain what's going on I'm given a list of tasks to perform such as 'check with my neighbors' or 'make sure its not been left in a safe space'. I had to call the courier to discover what was going on. learnt that 'someone' (can only be general lamps), has rearranged delivery for Monday?! so it turns out the store did know where my parcel was lol!
5) Apparently, according to the the courier, my 2 bulbs can not be left in a safe space, they need to be delivered to a person but they can't give me a time?! Am I therefore expected to take a days leave to sit at home all day awaiting an order?

Total lack of communication right from the start, you should be contacting me, not the other way round. It is a liberty to rearrange delivery on my behalf and if you are going to do that, make a note on your screen so that when I speak to your customer service dept, they have some idea as to what's going on. The 1 star I have to leave is to the customer service operative who was pleasant enough.
