"Pretty much as expected ...."

Pretty much as expected ..... this weekend was the build weekend for the Corfu Gazebo. It's wood so we didn't expect it to be absolutely true, we overcame a twisted leg, a couple of bendy batons & had enough 'spare' to cut and fit those mitred bits that were missing or the really twisted bits, we also used different fixings to those supplied .... the shingles still going on - crossing our fingers that there are enough !

Got a bit of split fascia that will need some remedial attention, but as I say, it's wood !

Taking that & the above into account, quality generally seems pretty good & good value - if you are looking for a gazebo, don't be put off by the above = if you expect absolute straight line precision, then wood might not be your best option !

All things considered, happy with it !

"Greatly exceeded expectations."

Really pleased with our Lynn summerhouse. Really solid, being a log cabin made from thick timber rather than the sort of flimsy over-priced shed you can buy for three times as much from a competitor.

Delivery was spot on. The friendly helpful driver kept me informed throughout the process, and worked hard on the actual day, bringing the timber in from some distance away during the school run on bin day!!

When reading the rest of my review, bear in mind that I built it all on my own with no help whatsoever.

I put a lot of work into constructing an over-engineered level base (9 inches of crushed rock / weed control membrane / paving slabs), which made building the actual summerhouse pretty straightforward. I actually managed to get the walls up in an evening! Do be careful though - it's very easy to put a "log" in upside down if your attention wanders!

The roof has taken most of the build time. The beams themselves went up in a couple of hours (would have been easier with 2 people!), but the planks all needed cutting at an angle (investment in a powered mitre saw is highly recommended!) with it being an octagonal building. Likewise with the felt shingles, took ages because a lot of cutting and I probably used way more tacks than were needed. Time consuming, but very easy and with an end result that looks really really good.

The extra money I spent on the internal floor was money well spent - the floorboards are really thick and slot together easily; I can see that lasting for many years. I put a thick plastic membrane underneath this for good measure. That part took me a couple of evenings, but that was self inflicted (I chose to use "tongue tite" floorboard screws rather than the supplied nails so I have the option of lifting them if I ever need to!). I even had a few packs of floorboards left over (Tuin do seem very generous with what they supply), some of which I re-purposed to make eaves (I wanted bigger / stronger ones than those supplied so I can fit guttering). Again, a power saw is highly recommended for speed and accuracy.

So all in all I'm very happy, and will be back to Tuin when my I need to replace my rotting garden shed. Their website contains lots of useful advice and videos if you need clarification on anything. Honestly nothing to not like!

"Jannie Log Cabin"

We ordered a Jannie Log cabin and am very pleased with the result. From placing the order to delivery on site everything worked well. We had the cabin erected by skilled workers and it looks just as we had hoped. Cannot fault the quality. The cabvin is now in use most days.

"Solid product but Timber Defects & poor floor quality "

Good customer service when ordering cabin. Overall a very solid product. Better value for money than most garden sheds. Unfortunately our Palma log cabin had some gaps around the sides & roof despite being assembled by 2 professional carpenters. We had to buy extra timber baton to cover up these gaps. Some exterior defects including a spit in the timber which, had it not been on the back of the cabin and out of view, we would’ve returned the product for. The flooring kit wasn’t great and required lots of extra cuts. Roof shingles look good. Instructions for composite floor bearers poor. I would recommend this product however some things do need addressing by the manufacturer, such as exterior detects, poor instructions (even for professionals), weak flooring kit and gaps around sides & roof.

"Max Log Cabin - Great Value & Good Service"

Bought a Max Log Cabin as needed storage and a small home workshop - added the heavy duty floor which is fine for any heavy items ie Motorbike etc
Quality for the Price is spot on and good value
If you want a more heavy duty cabin go for a 44mm log cabin, the Max Log Cabin is 28mm but is absolutely fine for me.
Service is excellent and delivery was ahead of schedule - Delivery guy was fantastic!

"Very unhappy"

Very slow, rubbish communication, started on a request 2nd May 2-3 days to respond to emails when it states on their site they aim to respond with 30 minutes, i had to follow & chase up every time with emails 3rd,8th,10th,13th,15th May asking for relevant information on a bespoke cabin as i needed to make an informed decision, never once until my final email, then they proactively sent an explanation & update

i got so frustrated & fed up they completely lost my trust & order, seems that they weren't bothered would not recommend.
